Your BS detector is obviously malfunctioning! The 'quotes' you printed out about Guantanomo Bay detainees are entirely bogus. They were written by Scott Ott who is editor-in-chief of ScrappleFace.com, a news satire 'site. Mr. Ott wrote them for the amusement of his readers, but you couldn't get the joke.

When I was young, I was pro choice. I began to question when does life begin, what happens that makes a change from tissue to a person. Killing a person is murder, excising tissue is not. But the only change is at conception. All other changes are growth. Even at 1 year old, a baby cannot live without adult intervention, it is no more viable than a fetus implanted in a woman. All need adult intervention to survive.

President Obama is not bent on abortion. He is a true servant of his constituents, and he recognizes that there is a big percentage of these that are pro-abortion that he must respect, recognize, and address. If the Government, through Medicare and Medicade, were not paying for the Abortions, this question would never be asked of the President. The onus would never have been placed on him. It belongs to the Moral and Ethics determinants of Society. (Elders, Respected Nobles, and Religions)

I say to all of you: - "The Government should not legislate morality."

President Obama and his administration may think they've fooled Catholics, but for me at least, I am not fooled. Neither has anyone that I've encountered been fooled. As someone I heard on Christian Talk Radio said "You can listen to what he says, but more importantly watch what he does." And so far everything he has done has only proven how radically pro abortion he really is. It also shows us that while he speaks of 'common ground', what he really means is; when we see things his way. That truly is how the liberal left think, once you see things OUR way, then we'll get along just fine. So, as long as we put our religious beliefs, and morals to the side they have no problem with us. Tell me again, who is supposed to be the 'tolerant' group here? All I can say to other like minded individuals is, PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! That and not giving in is going to be the only way to right this terrible wrong. Life is Sacred, from natural conception~ to natural death.

Basic logic

a. A fetus is human and alive. (not an animal etc.)

b Killing a human life is murder.

c. Therefore killing a fetus is murder

Basic Logic

b. A crime is illsgal

c. Therefore it is illegal to murder a fetus.

RIGHT?????????????????

I am a Christian. I believe abortion, no matter how old the child (or feutus) is, is not only sin, but outright murder. I believe in the sacredness of human life, whatever its state.

While I respect Obama's viewpoint (in regard to allowing the mother the right to freewill and choice), I disagree with it. While personal decisions and the right to choose are fundamental aspects of the Christian faith, so is the principle that man must take responsibility of their actions.

Before one gets into the hype surrounding abortion, it should be noted that this isn't the beginning. I haven't heard of anyone getting to abort a baby they never made throug sexual intercourse! True, thousands of women the world over get raped and end up pregnant, but let's face it, the majority of people who abort are people who willingly had unprotected sex. Are we then to hold their unborn babies accountable for the mothers' unwise decisions?

Responsibility is one of the themes Obama's administration has hammered out unceasingly; from quality education to healthcare and economic decisions, Obama has called for responsibility and insisted people and companies must take responsibility for their actions. Well, that message seems to be thrown out of the window when it comes to abortion. Why? Because he needs more votes come 2010? I'd have thought he was better than that.

President Obama's speech was clever, designed tp press all the right buttons of his young idealistic audience but it was at odds with his words at a Washinton Prayer breakfast Feb 2009

"But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate. There is no God who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know."

What could be more innocent than the child in the womb? When he urged the young graduates to protect God's creation by fighting for the climate change issue he conveniently ignored the need to protect the greatest of God's creations the human person.

Now comes this fascinating comment re Guantanomo Bay detainees

"We can debate whether enemy combatants have access to protections under the U.S. Constitution," said Obama. "However, no serious person would grant such protection to an embryo or fetus. The loss of 240 fetuses wouldn't raise an eyebrow in a nation where more than 3,000 of them hit the Dumpster daily."

What a sad day when the fate of innocents can be described so casually but worse still it is an honest statement of a reality.

The president noted that America's global reputation has been devastated by U.S. treatment of terror suspects, but that "our treatment of a million fetuses each year earns us nothing but admiration, and requests for clinic-funding from those who aspire to be like us."

There are some realities we cannot change but there are some we can change through the ballot box If you in the depths of your heart know it is barbaric and simply wrong to have laws that say it is okay to kill a child in the womb and not worthy of admiration use your vote next time around and insist your candidate vote pro life Don't be bullied or manipulated into thinking that you are interfering with the liberty of others in doing so no one man woman or child has the right to kill the most vulnerable innocent member of the human family and the President has even revealed how it was done by the pro abortion forces they manipulated language. Further to this we know some people are going to steal or commit arson does it logically follow that we legalise theft and arson?

"In an executive order, the president said, "Since I ordered Gitmo shut down, and people don't want us to bring the inmates here, the only way to extract them from the facility is to change their legal status to one that offers us more choices."

I hope this talented charismatic young President grows in office in the same way Lincoln did to the point where he realises the pro abortion lobby offer nothing but a culture of death and it would be better for America and the world if he takes the ship of state in a more positive pro life direction.

It has been noted that often people who go on to commit violent crime have been cruel to animals when young a society that fails to protect its young can also expect an increase in child abuse, domestic violence and street violence.

It is reasonable to believe, Barack Obama used a very nice and qualified woman to exchange the nomination to the US Supreme Court, for the personal acceptance of an honorary degree from Notre Dame on the basis of religion. “He worked so hard to hide a dog's true value” Old Yella.

It is inappropriate for the President to advertise the vacancy of a seat, for which he nominates, and with the advice and consent of the US Senate, make an appointment.

Barack Obama servicing as US President, or Senator hasn’t done anything in economics or foreign policy matters (except become the subject of tribunals), nor did he serve in the US Armed Forces.

The nominee is qualified, but the nomination is taint.
