Romney: Obama shouldn't use bin Laden in campaign

Been there done that....the raid on OBl was filled with risks from the moment our helicopters enter Pakistani air space. They didn't even know if OBL was there or if he was guarded or if there were boob-traps....a thousand things could have gone wrong, and thankfully, they didn't. No doubt we got a little lucky. This operation was in the works for months. This was no panty raid as you would suggest. Trust me, if this had been a failure the Pubs would have been blaming Obama with full voices. Now all they can do is whimper and whine and say, "Well, anybody could have done it". Well nobody did under Bush.

The raid on OBL was not a gutsy move. In fact, it was as simple as a raid as any raid could be. Considering the 100's of raids being conducted by any number of US/Allied forces world wide, I do not beleive the President is consulted on any of them.

The only one who was at rick of looking foolish would be the local CIA Station Chief or the Director.

The US SEALS did a good job, they're not to be critized but commended, but to say the President "had" any say in the execution of those actions, approved methodologies, tactics, etc., would be taking a big step.

Having said that, two Marines could have rolled up in a Land Rover, knocked on the front door and accomplished aprox. the same thing.

When I see people here unable to give Obama credit for a risky gutsy move, I think about what they would have said if the mission had failed. There's no pleasing these right-wing nuts. This was a commander-in-chief decision and it worked out. If it had been a failure all these people would have blamed Obama, not the Seals. So what if he's blowing his own horn? You think "Mission Accomplished" George Bush (or any other politician) would have done any different? As an incumbent you run on your record. This is part of his record. Any grousing from the other side of the aisle is just sour grapes.

Reply to Vincent Lawerence:

If it had failed, President Obama would have gotten the blame, just like President Carter did.

Mr. Obama,

Bin Laden was one year ago, al Qaeda is still with us how many are in the United States, gorilla warfare is like that we do not know who they are, where they are, or when they will strike next.

US Navy Seal Team VI did a Outstanding job, if they had failed, who would get the credit or blame.
