CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — Add this to the list of ways the President of the United States woos young voters in an election-year: He slow jams the news.

Obama, appearing on NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" show, joined the comedy host in a popular feature of his program.

The president, looking in the camera, talked earnestly about student interest rates as The Roots, Fallon's hip house band, laid down a rhythm. Then the camera cut to Fallon in the foreground, where he punched up the message in his own way.

"Now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people," Obama said. Then Fallon: "Ohhhh yeaahh. You should listen to the president."

The episode was taped during Obama's appearance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Agreed. I am not voting for Obama. Ron Paul all the way to the White house!

What is the difference between bailing students out for school loans and bailing homeowners out for bogus mortgages? Lowering student interest rates is wrong.

The "college = employment" myth needs to stop in this country. We ought to be encouraging people to go into skilled trades - well paying jobs that would boost the economy, and can't be outsourced.

And frankly, its an embarrassment to have a sitting president spending more time on late-night talk shows and playing golf than consulting with congress on legislation. We need an adult in the white house.
