Latest face to face Reuters poll matching Newt Gingrich vs. Barack Obama, completed before Gingrich's two losses in the south yesterday has Gingrich losing by 17 points.

Ron Paul and Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum all do a lot better than Newt Gingrich when matched against the encumbent in the polls. Yet in many ways it keeps the race interesting when he stays in. Guessing that some party big wigs want him to stay in if that benefits Mitt Romney.
