Why must the President spend even more taxpayer money trying to put lipstick on his pig of a health "reform" measure.
And I hope "Dr. Sam" isn't a sample of the doctors who will be left to care for the ignorant masses, myself included, who apparently were unable to sway those we voted for to represent us.
CM is right! Vote!

GOP A PARTY OF THUGS, HOOLIGANS, BIRTHERS, TEA-BAGGERS, SECESSIONISTS, PUGILISTS, RACISTS AND LIERS!
The new GOP has become a Party of pugilists and hooligans. Its members and associates threaten the use of extra-legal means to try to intimidate others into acceptance. Racists, tea-baggers and thugs find their natural home in the Party. These thugs throw bricks at offices of opposing members of Congress and use racial epithets freely. They hold rallies holding ugly, racists and threatening placards. They pack guns in the vicinity of Presidential events. They seem to believe that by constantly repeating the most outrageous lies, those lies become true over time. They attack authority figures thus teaching young people to disrespect authority. Bipartisanship for them means imposing their extreme ideas upon others while refusing to consider those of others. They say no en bloc to every legislative proposal from the ruling Party yet want to hold the ruling Party to account. They are always hungry for power even after they messed things up and behave as if power is their divine right. They want power so badly they seem prepared to kill for it. They threaten secession when they fail to get it. In power, they misuse it with impunity racking huge deficits; they only talk deficit-reduction when they are out of power. They believe the Supreme Court is their special enabler and always threaten to sue. They use angry words and seem generally unpleasant, uncooperative and unreliable. They confuse and obfuscate.
They think they own the country and are more patriotic than anyone lese; but they stay away from military duty or far from enemy line.

When elected officials show a clear disregard for the will of the people, we the people are no longer in control requiring a immediate change in direction.

Why not have both Democrats & Republican parties cancel their present coverage and go into the public arena to purchase their own Health Coverage.
Both groups would then see what the public has had to contend with when trying to make reasonable decisions regarding our health risks.
It seems that the Washingtonians believe in the Public be Damded

He will start NOW (from back-channels) educating people (Catholics
especially) that the final GOP blocking tactic will be to try to get the five Catholic Republican men of the Supreme Court (Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, Alito and Kennedy) to declare health care reform unconstitutional. Having all people (Catholics especially) aware and outraged that this might be a distinct possibility IS EXACTLY HOW YOU PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING.

If this health care bill was really what the majority wanted, there would be no need to have to 'sell it' to us. We would have been backing it from the start.
What they really means is they crammed it down our throats with total disregard for public opinion and now they have to try to make us feel good about it.
Vote them all out next election!

OK Obama, it's time to stop campaigning for this illeagle health care bill and work on the economy and creating jobs. Listen to the American people for once. Health care reform has been a low prioroty for a long time with the American public. Now get busy and get the work done that will really help our country.
And one last time to Obama, members of the Senate and House - Listen Listen Listen to the people for a change WE can believe in.

Look, the majority of the American people want health care reform... It's a bunch of garbage that the media is making it seem like Obama has to "SELL" the idea of healthcare to the public. Just garbage... Now I don't agree will all the points of the bill that was passed, but at least Obama is doing something. Bush and the Reps did nothing in regards to fixing our internal issues for years. And it was another 4 years of nothingness by Bush Sr. and 8 years of nothingness by Reagan.
I don't always say Dems do things right, and I'm not a Dem or a Rep, but at the least they are trying to find solutions to social and economic problems that plague us here....
WE HAVE A WAR HERE AT HOME! We don't need to support more bogus wars abroad in order to take control of oil rich lands... Our war is here... You can see it in your daily lives. The war is in the rising premiums AND rising medical costs that doctors/surgeons/hospitals charge, the war is at home with rising divorce rates and broken families, the war is here at home with K-12 education that is in the dump and college education that is putting graduates without a job or even with a job in serious debt, the war is here in our faltering Social Security System that will soon be bankrupt and unable to provide retirment to the elderly who are being forced to work until they die! We have a war here that we've been ignoring for so long... And you know why? Because Social Reform doesn't provide an incentive to make money for the BIG OIL COMPANIES and Defense Contractors as does bogus conflict abroad.
If we can stop fighting these wars for the wealthy, corporations, and interest groups, we can then have money to fix our internal issues. I'm tired of hearing how we don't have money for education and we don't have money for the Social Security system and we don't have money to provide healthcare for the elderly and impoverished... But we do have money to finance multi-million dollar jet aircraft and we do have money to conduct wars abroad for oil that are putting us in massive trillions of dollars of defiicit and we do have money to support nations like Turkey and Israel that do not listen to UN regulations and conduct Human Rights violations day by day!
If we don't demand change (and not Obama change but real change) there ain't no one who's gonna give it to us... Maybe we can learn a thing or two from the Europeans, huh?

Under existing arrangements, over 20,000 Americans a year have died for lack of access to health care, and hundreds of thousands go bankrupt for lack of insurance (or adequate insurance). This is true of no other developed nation--the lack of universal access to healthcare has been a national disgrace. The Republican right has had no answer to this situation, none at all--because they are sitting fat and satisfied, and they don't care. Shame on the Republicans, and congratualtions on the Democrats for doing the right thing, despite its possible political costs.
