Review the war, i'm afraid that no one is the winner in this cruel war.
For Afghanis, they lost everything, their country, their sisters and brothers who died in the war, and even their faith in rebuilding their homeland. Maybe we Americans should ask ourselves 'Are we doing the Afgans a favor by creating war in their country?'
On the other hand, For America, it seems that we are the beneficiaries. 'Cause we stretch our military resources to another land and tell the world who is the most powerful. But i wanna say we are losers in this war. The worst is that we lost our ways forward. We should calm down. There are many question we should think over.

You can blame the neocons for this fix. I keep saying this: had we gotten out of Iraq early in 2004, we would not have had debaathification, implemented by Paul Bremer and Paul Wolfowitz, no insurgency no Al Queda in Iraq. We could then have transferred those combat troops to Afghanistan then, and we would have been out of Afghanistan by now. Let us not kid ourselves: it's going to take at least five years from now before we can start pulling troops out of Afghanistan, and I consider myself an optimist.

I fear the war in Afghanistan is a no win situation for the US. Even if you assume our intentions are noble (and I'm not sure they are), the history of war in Afghanistan suggests we face an unwinable conflict.
As a nation, we shall squander our financial resources, stretch our military resources to the breaking point, and kill many people (both US and Afghan). Are we doing the Afgans a favor by creating war in their country. My gut level answer is NO.
Maybe the time has come for the US to acknowledge it can not control the world.
