On TV, I saw Mrs. Obama say two children were the right size family for them. It was such a wise and accurate statement, that it set the tone for other Americans to claim their Constitutional right to determine family size. Obama made a law that makes it easier to demand equal pay for equal work. He promises to close the torture chamber at Guantanamo and seems to me doing it, even though nobody wants to take those held there. Some of them will get a fair trial, upholding US values. He tried to get the Olympics, but who could compete with those beautiful beaches & resort climate? His experience in organizing groups & leading discussions is very valuable. i very much like the bee hives & vegetable garden at the White House. It reminds me of the Depression when so many of us lived by growing our own food & small animals. And of Victory Gardens in WWII. And of the gentlemen farmers, Washington & jefferson. He seems to me to be more "American" than many presidents, especially the envious poor boy, Nixon, whose transcribed tapes prove he schemed to subvert our election process. The part I don't like is his advancing religion while he's a public official.

BJC of MS it is unfortunate that your values are so skewed that you don't recognise what a thug is. They were the last executives in the White House. Everything wrong now began on their watch. They stole the 2000 Election with help from the Florida Governor, a Bush and the Supreme Court, allowed 911 to happen and lied this country into an unnecessary war in Iraq. Gave away tax cuts to the wealthy in the greatest transfer of wealth and income disparity ever.
Don't expect much from Bible Belt, Southern states residents that inherited the shameful legacy of slavery that they cherish as a right. President Obama is a man of much class and grace. Your racism blinds you to this fact. You are a SLUG.

A lot of people want to up and blame Obama already for the decline of this country, and I take offense. Obama came into presidency during an unprecedented time of crisis. The Iraq war,a failing economy, health care crisis, N.Korea with nukes, Iran on brink of getting nukes, and a quagmire in Afghanistan. Bush Sr, Clinton, and Bush Jr, came into the presidency during relatively periods of calm.
A lot of people want simple answers to complicated problems, which took years to create. It is lunacy to expect one man to fix everything within his first year of office. Many people say that the stimulus has failed, and that he has made things worse. Do you really expect one man to fix years of incomptenecy within our government. It seems to me that people are looking for a scapegoat.

it's almost like this article is a joke...yogi berra comes to mind "you can observe alot just by watching" or "it's not over til it's over."
how he does his job COULD, JUST MAYBE, define how he did his job...

Did you ever find that baseball you lost?
0bama as 'president' has spent more time choosing a family dog and schmoozing with David Letterman on TV than meeting with the man HE appointed (commanding General Stanley McChrystal) to discuss HIS OWN plans for Afghanistan- Talk about taking your eye off the ball!
