are nothing but a distraction. So are the "Palestinians", period, for that matter. Israel will either bomb Iranian weapons installations big-time or live with the blackmail of a nuclear-tipped enemy in the region (until someday maybe THEY are bombed---once and all dead in a second holocaust.) That's the road they're going down. It's not up to America to broker the deal. Neither is it up to America to do the bombing.

The inability of Obama to stop Jewish construction on Palestinian land has discredited him in the Arab world. His supposed famous speech in Cairo has already been tossed in the wastebasket, and his preoccupation with Iran at the behest of
Israelis makes him look and sound more and more like an Israeli lobbyist. He has even lost his luster in his ancestral Kenya!
Obama's sell-out of Palestinians has raised the status of Iran in the Arab world, and his continuation of war in Afghanistan has proved to Muslims that he just an accolade of
George Bush's global anti-Muslim campaign. And Iran, which is considered the lighthouse of Muslims, is benefiting immensely,
while Obama keeps fiddling with evaluations, reports, and
half-baked decisions that do not produce any results anywhere!
As for Iran, it has made it clear more than a dozen times that its nuclear program issue is closed. As for the hysteria about sanctions on Iran in the Western media; the possible military threats, and the possible support of Russian for sanctions, those are all wishful thinking that won't change anything in the Iranian mind. And the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said after the testing of medium range missiles today that "Israel is a Paper Tiger," [The late Mao Tse-tung used to say that about the U.S.], and that Iran is not concerned about Israelis "bluffs" of attacking Iran.
Obama started his presidency with a promise to get things straight in Middle East, and reconcile with the Muslims. But for all his rich rhetoric, and the initial bark on his foreign policy, 9 months later he is just yapping like a Israeli poodle
at Iran, while Afghanistan is becoming a deeper quagmire, and his domestic Health-care Program is in intensive care.
Americans thought at the beginning that by now they would have been counting Obama's blessings, but they are counting his failures, and his public approval ratings are in the doldrums.
He definitely needs a new foreign policy team to help him find his way out of the global maze of tough issues he is lost in, but he is in such a bliss that he hasn't even realized it! Nikos Retsos, retired professor

Perhaps Kenneth Walsh and Chris Matthews can start a club for those who get a "thrill up the leg" when speaking of Obama.
Here are the qualifiers for Walsh to join the club of those who have a man crush on Obama;
"Obama, as usual, was brilliant in the rhetoric and symbolism departments."
"As Obama is learning, finding compromise doesn't come easy at home or abroad, even for a politician as gifted as he is."
