Obama Heads to Montana for Healthcare Town Hall

Why is it that when Barack Obama was running for President he attacked pharmaceutical companies and now he has teamed up with them to promote his health care plan? Why are all the tort lawyers big democratic supporters and multi-millionaires? Obama’s true intentions are so obvious that even the left is starting to express concerns. For example, on August 10, CBS Evening News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson filed a report stating that “the White House agreed not to seek price controls on drugs for seniors on Medicare and would not support importing cheaper drugs from Canada.” According to Attkisson, “The pharmaceutical industry is now so firmly in the President's camp it's developing plans to spend up to $150 billion promoting it with TV ads.”

According to the acting president of Public Citizen and founder and director of Public Citizen's Health Research Group, Dr. Sidney Wolfe, “An all sort of off the record deal was reached that is very bad for the American public.” Other experts say that for their cooperation, Obama is allowing pharmaceutical companies to charge $50 for a $2 pill and is assuring them that there will be no changes to the laws that make it near impossible for less expensive generic drugs to reach the American market.

Unless tort lawyers, the pharmaceutical lobby and other special interest groups like the AMA, ADA and the AARP are dealt with to preserves the Constitution and the free market system, while also protecting the medical provider and consumer, no healthcare plan can work.

Don't forget that a good number of the supposed 43 million people without insurance are illegal aliens and younger people who choose to go without insurance.

Bottom line: do NOT believe the lies and multi-million dollar spin campaign coming from the Obama White House.

One question that needs to be asked of Obama, videotaped, and put on YouTube:

If your big government health care scheme is so good for us, will you then publicly commit to enrolling yoursaelf and your family in the "public option" and force Congress and their families to do the same?

Former Democrat of MT 10:14PM August 15, 2009

43 million people living in the United States are currently without health care insurance. This staggering statistic means that the remaining 260 million Americans are presently covered in one way, shape or form.

Now how is the medical community going to provide adequate services to these additional 43 million people if there aren't enough doctors around right now to take care of the already covered 260 million? Where are these new doctors to accommodate the additional 43 million people going to come from? The moon?

The ugly government solution/answer is pure and simple: RATIONING and long waiting periods for everyone (and the death of private health care companies) if universal health care is legislated and enacted!

Finally, the government bureaucracy can't be trusted running this vital 20 percent medical industry of the U.S. economy. Government takeover plainly and blatantly smacks of socialism! There is already 10% fraud/corruption in the government-run Social Security system. And just look at what's happened to the government-run Post Office and Amtrak train systems! They're both flirting with bankruptcy! In short, the federal government can't operate anything, except clumsily running this great country into the ground!

A staff writer at The New Yorker and some experts have examined Medicare data from the successful hospitals of 10 regions, and they have found evidence that more effective, lower-cost care is possible.

Please be 'sure' to visit http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/13/opinion/13gawande.html?hp for credible evidences !

Some have followed the Mayo model with salaried doctors employed, Other regions, too, have found ways to protect patients against the pursuit of revenues over patient.

And a cardiac surgeon of them said they had adopted electronic systems, examined the data and found that a shocking portion of tests were almost certainly unnecessary, possibly harmful.

According to analysis, their quality scores are well above average. Yet they spend more than $1,500 (16 percent) less per Medicare patient than the national average and have a slower real annual growth rate (3 percent versus 3.5 percent nationwide).

Surprisingly, 16 % of about $550 billion (the total of medicare cost per year) is around $88 billion per year, except for Medicaid (total cost of around $500 billion per year), medicare 'alone' can save $880 billion over the next decade.

In addition, under the reform package, along with the already allocated $583 billion, the wastes involving so called "doughnut hole" , the unnecessary subsidies for insurers, abuse, exorbitant costs by the tragic ER visits etc are weeded out, the concern over revenue (below) might be a thing of the past.

(( Net Medicare and Medicaid savings of $465 billion + the $583 billion revenue package = $1048 billion - the previously estimated $1.042 trillion cost of reform = $6 billion surplus - $245 billion (the 10-year cost of adjusting Medicare reimbursement rates so physicians don’t face big annual pay cuts) = the estimated deficit of $239 billion ))

In modernized society, the business lacking IT system is unthinkable just like pre-electricity period, nevertheless, the last thing to expect is happening now in the sector requiring the best accuracy in respect to dealing with human lives. Apparently the errors by no e-medical records have spawned the crushing lawsuits (Medical malpractice lawsuits cost at least $150 billion per year), and these costs have led to the unnecessary tests, treatments, even more profits so far. And in different parts of the U.S., patients get two to three times as much care for the same disease, with the same result.

Thank You !

THIS IS IT!

More than two thirds of the American people want a single payer health care system. And if they cant have a single payer system 76% of all Americans want a strong government-run public option on day one (85% of democrats, 71% of independents, and 60% of republicans). Basically everyone.

AND NO INSURANCE MANDATES WITHOUT A STRONG GOVERNMENT-RUN PUBLIC OPTION ON DAY ONE! An insurance mandate without a strong government-run public option choice on day one, would be a DISASTER! And it would be worse than the GREED DRIVEN PRIVATE FOR PROFIT HEALTH INSURANCE HORROR! SHOW you have now. YOU MUST MAKE CERTAIN!! THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN AMERICA.

The healthcare reform bills released by the first two committees of the House Of Representatives are excellent bills as I understand them. They are bills with a strong, robust, government-run public option, and an intelligent, reasonable initial funding plan to cover almost all of the American people. They are carefully written, and thoughtfully constructed, informed, prudent and wise. These bills will save trillions of dollars, and millions of your lives. They are also now supported by the AMA.

These are the type of bills that all Americans can feel good about. And these are the type of bills that have the potential to dramatically improve the quality of healthcare for all Americans. Rich, middle class and poor a like. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and all other party affiliations. These bills have the potential to dramatically improve the quality of life of every American.

The house healthcare bills released by the first two committees should be viewed as the minimum GOLD STANDARD by which all other proposed healthcare legislation should be judged. All supporters of true high quality healthcare reform should now place all your support behind these healthcare reform bills released by the first two committees of the United States House Of Representatives, as the minimum Gold standard for healthcare reform in America.

You should all now support the first two committees bills with all your might, and all of your unrelenting tenacity. These first two House committees healthcare bills are VERY, VERY GOOD! bills for all of the American people. Fight tooth, and nail for every bit of these bills if you have too. Be aggressive, creative, and relentless for these bills.

From this time forward, go BIGGER and DEEPER with the American people every day until passage of healthcare reform with a robust, government-run public option.

FIGHT!! like your life and the lives of your loved ones depends on it. BECAUSE IT DOES!

Our whole health care system has been wrong a long time with businesses, drug companies, doctors and hospitals involved.. This is a great time to change that. Between good sounding ideas are dangerous openings for severe oppression and control; like pages 425 and 426.

The best health care reform would be turning from the lifestyle of stress and pollution that is making us sick and diseased. If we turned from the employment lifestyle to a garden paradise lifestyle, we could solve most if not all the world problems quickly and inexpensively. It would give all people better health and true freedom, something the planned health care reform cannot give us. It would also deliver us from plans of phychopolitics.

I wonder if the same people that are complaining about the Government not being able to run anything, and that they don't want the Government in their business were the ones that were routing on the last Administration that was getting involved in the Terry Shivo issue? They even had a member of Congress diagnosing her from Congress, and the President came of vacation for it (something he didn't do for the people in New Orleans).

I would also like to know if these people use the Postal Service, Unemployment benefits, Medicare/Medicaid, or Social security of which is all government run. If we have a disaster in their State, let's hope they can continue the mantra of "no" to FEMA or any other Government run assistance.
