I read these comments with a smile and sympathy for the president of the US. I would bet that most of those hammering him did not want him to be president, in the first place. So Indeed they are now having their field day. He will do nothing right, as far as they are concerned.
I do believe that the criticism comes from many who have good insurance coverage and feel they are being told how to take care of themselves. But why not think of those who are on the margins; those who are struggling. Obama is trying to make sure each American is covered in case of poor health. Is this a crime? Does that make him a monster? I think that there is just too much noise coming from people who are just plainly biased and selfish. But, I suppose that is just human.
In the final analysis, time will tell if Obama has the right vision, in trying to protect each American, healthwise.
Being a president is not an easy task especially when one is surrounded by many selfish people. Some of you should try it sometime!!!

The American people do not need a bigger government.We need to take back our Country from people like this Administration.I do not want the government making my healthcare decissions!! I do not want my tax money to pay for abortions under the guise of womens health care.What a JOKE.The American people are not stupid Mr President. We do at times make stupid decissions like voting for the present politicains.This feel like a phrase we use to use back in the Cold War days-Big Brother is Watching".We have a Constitution that sets the law of this land.We would be so much better off if we stoped politicians from trying to shove laws down our throat that are directly against our Constitutional Rights.Mr President-I do not want to pay for abortions,I don't want you in my health care,I don't want your bailout for myself and I sure don't want to fund someone else's bailout! This country was founded on the ideals that it is run by the PEOPLE not the Government! The people need to start taking a stand against what is going on in Washington. The Constitution and the 10 comandments are all we need in this country-It's high time we got back to that and let Mr Obama get back to what ever country he came from and take the rest of the politicians with him when he goes.None of them are American or seem to know what America is all about.

We have a president who campaigned on transparency in government. Despite this commitment (part of "change we could believe in"), we are not seeing such transparency in his presidency to date. He promised that we would have visibility to all bills for a 48 hour period on the internet prior to a vote by Congress. Rather we have had no visibility to the content of many bills, and representatives in Congress who themselves frequently failed to familiarize themselves with the content of the bills prior to voting. More importantly however, the Mr Obama has consistently refused to provide transparency in his credentials to be President by releasing documents that would clarify the issue of his citizenship, which has been such a contentious issue. Indeed, it is reported that he has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on lawyers to suppress relevant documents. Very naturally this leads to a suspicion among many citizens that the President has something to hide.
Leaving aside the question of whether the birth certificate he has produced is legitimate or not, his suppression of his educational transcripts appears particularly puzzling. This is a man with an enviable educational background. His absolute refusal to disclose the contents of these documents suggests to me that they contain material which pose a particular problem for the President. The only subject which would seem to meet that standard of difficulty for the President is his citizenship. In particular, it raises the question as to whether his education files show he made applications to his various academic institutions as a foreign citizen or as a dual citizen. Such status might have been required as part of the eligibility for scholarships he applied for. Should disclosure of the documents prove this to be true, it will certainly raise serious doubt as to his true citizenship status.
That the President seems unwilling to provide clear transparent evidence as to his citizenship, or to provide a credible explanation as to why he insists on suppressing the various documents, does a disservice to all citizens who want to see our government live by the rule of law. Without this evidence, it seems unlikely that the citizenship issue will go away.

We DO have a substantial interest in seeing Barach Obama's birth certificate. Some technical loophole will NOT satisfy the suspicions and criticisms. We have reasons to believe that Obama does not have our best interests at heart, belied by the fact that even many democrats who elected him are now conflicting with him because of the disruptive changes he is making. Obama is not behaving like a loyal naturally-born citizen. We have good reasons to suspect his loyalty. His philosophy and behaviors are CONTRARY to those of us who make up the basic fabric of mainstream grassroots American people.
U.S. citizens are expected to TAKE THE WORD of Hawaii's leaders that his birth certificate authentically determines that he was born in the U.S!!???!! No way. A technical loophole will not suffice. He doesn't act like someone who was born in the U.S. He acts like someone who was born in Kenya. He has the heritage of someone born in Kenya (the name, Barach Hussein Obama), he has the parenting of someone born outside the U.S., the has the philosophy of someone born outside the U.S............sorry.......we need proof, not someone's word who has a politically stake involved.
If someone acts like a wolf, looks like a wolf (like in the story of Little Red Riding Hood), talks and deceives like a wold, lies like a wolf (didn't keep election promises).....well, that means he is a wolf. He shouldn't be allowed access to
"Grandma" who is sick and vulnerable.
The U.S. is sick and vulnerable right now (especially since Obama's stimulus package). We told him that it would make us sick to pass the stimulus package. We are telling him that his healthcare reform measures will make us more sick. He continues to insist that he has the right medicine for us in the healthcare reform. We were right before about the Stimulus package; we are correct now about the healthcare reform. He insists on feeding "grandma"/ us this "medicine" that we don't want. It will kill us. We know this. We don't want to be force-fed poison by Obama and his administration.
We're not as sick as what he claims. Only about 25% of people who want health insurance don't have it. He claims 37%. WRONG WRONG WRONG, Obama. We don't want your medicine. We don't want your control; we want our freedom.
The wolf is trying to force-feed grandma. Get out of our whitehouse with your poison. We didn't want the stimulus package; we don't want your socialist healthcare controls. We don't want reforms (i.e. controls) imposed on us. You don't share our values or our philosophy. You don't have our confidence. You have made our situation worse since you took offic
Obama is not a friend, he is a wolf. We have every reason to challenge his authenticity. Hawaii's leadership is politically invested. If it is truly authentic, then produce it. Let us see that he is legit and not fraudulent. We have an authentic right to ask these things.

It would be about time that the press starts acting as they should and question what is going on in this White House.
I for one want to know how this Obamacare will affect me as I retire in a few years and may lose my health care insurance as a result of the public plan being included by the House.
I am against a public plan that will not provide fair competition between the government and private insurers. The public plan provides money for abortion but will dictate what procedures we would be allowed to have. I don;t agree with the government, through some computer program or system, dictating to my doctor what he can recommend for me and waht is provided. Democrats, let me rephrase that -Pelosi- is not being hones when she wants to push this bill for a vote without enough time offered to decide if this is a good bill for the people of this country or not.
Having said that I will admit: let me have what they are having! Let me have the SAME, exact same health care choices that our legislators in DC as well as the president and federal employees have (who would be otherwise exempt from the bill). That is the only way I will leave what I have now for some health care intrusion offered by the Democrats.

It's unfortunate that it took reporters to get slighted by Obama before being willing to report things as they really are. Pres Obama has not made decisions that have resulted in what he has promised.
The $787 billion dollar stimulus package - have you got a job? Cuz Obama promised unemployment wouldn't rise about 8% if we passed his bill. Well, unemployment is 9.5% and is forecasted to go to 11%
Obama promised to close Guantanamo. Well, is it closed? Nope.
Obama promised that making $$ available for home owners would help out 3-4 million people. It was reported a couple weeks ago that Obama's effort has only helped out 30,000 not the 3,000,000-4,000,000 promised.
Obama is now making promises about healthcare. I don't want to be paying for his mis-management for the next 50 years. Let's thoroughly debate in detail what is to be changed before we allow him to rush a bill past us.

Obama's adroit side-stepping of the issues he's largely responsible for creating has taken a new turn with the professor vs. the police. His comments, PREFACED BY HIS ADMISSION THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW ALL THE FACTS, reinforces my long belief that if politicians had to know what they're talking about before opening there mouths, the airways would be silent and there would be a lot more blank newsprint.
