After eight frustrating years of deciphering the "Decider" and hie band of morons, I succumbed to idiocy as did millions of otherwise "normal" people. Great news though as I am currently undergoing rehab and expect a full recovery under "King Wishy-Washy."

It is so refreshing to watch the King articulate his business-like strategies on TV nowadays unlike in the past where, watching the Decider mumble his bird-brain strategies left me no choice but to turn the darn TV off or watch reruns of "I Love Lucy."

You are a blathering idiot whos should be put in Gitmo until King Wishy-Washy decides if he is or he isn't going to bring them to the USA.

Thanks much for your feedback... Dangermoose. There is no need to do my homework zipping through endless piles of "http" junk. I stand by my opinion which I am sure is shared by millions of citizens in this great country. C'mon, Cheney and his buddies didn't do anything good for the country other than to bring progressive hardship and misery to its people in the last eight years. And to read that Bush is putting up a library to house his memoirs? Give me a break! If Congress is to blame for all the fiscal policies that have gone awry, then why do we put up with them to the delight of the media? Let us put our party affiliations aside bro' and work together as one solid TEAM USA and start exposing these dumbos over and over until they get the message and resign their posts. In doing so, it will ensure our grand kids will have a fair chance to enjoy life to the fullest and advance their career aspirations as well. At the current state we're in though, I have serious doubts, but I am pinning my hopes on Obama for now or anyone that can skillfully steer us back to prosperity and happiness. I hate to see this great country fall like Rome did.

Your are making very serious, baseless charges.

#1 - Dick Cheney and Halliburton- you claim the Iraq War was started to "insure billions in contract dollars flowed into Halliburton and other shady businesses."

You accuse the Iraqi war being started by Cheney and lives lost simply to give Halliburton a billion dollar contract.

- Answer one question. WHY? What was Cheney's interest/benefit in starting the Iraqi war? There certainly was absolutely no financial benefit to Cheney(http://www.factcheck.org/kerry_ad_falsely_accuses_cheney_on_halliburton.html)

#2 - Obama wants to close Gitmo and relocate detainees.

Two days ago, Obama told human rights activists in Wash. he was mulling over creating a "preventive detention" system to establish a legal basis for incarcerating terror suspects deemed a threat to U.S. security but can't be tried. He also annouced willingness to try suspects in military commissions, something he DENOUNCED during his candidacy, AND OBAMA is blocking the release of photographs apparently showing detainee "abuse".

- Please, explain how Obama's proposed "preventive detention" system, that may use millitary commissions, will be different than Gitmo now.

- If he wants to close Gitmo, why would he block the release of these photos?

#3 - Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice and Bush are terrorists and guilty of the following crimes...

#3a- "first-degree" murder of servicemen in Iraq.

From Wikipedia: Murder which shall be perpetrated by means of poison, or by lying in wait, or by any other kind of willful, deliberate, and premeditated killing, or which shall be committed in the perpetration or attempt to perpetrate, any arson, rape, robbery, or burglary, shall be deemed murder of the first degree.

- Even if your charge had any base in fact (which it doesn't) it certainly wouldn't be "first-degree".

- Service in the armed forces is VOLUNTARY, not MANDATED. The brave servicepeople sent to Iraq understand the risk.

#3b- "irresponsible economic fiscal policies..."

The Bush administration does deserve SOME blame for the crisis for starting the process of government intervention into the economy, (what the hell did GM/Chrysler need those billions for if they are going bankrupt anyway!?) but it is Congress, not the executive branch, who is ultimately responsible for taxation and budget law. The TRUE cause of this collapse started with the Community Reinvestment Act under the Carter admin and his congress- as well as lenders who chose to took advantage of the situation.

#3c - Katrina...

- The mayor had THOUSANDS of school busses he could have used to evacuate the city if he had the foresight...

#3d - Global warming...

- This is UNPROVEN BELIEF and is just a tool to make people like Al Gore MILLIONS with "carbon offsets".(http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/monckton/goreerrors.html)

Do your homework, MonK.

I firmly believe that this lunatic ran the White House for eight years and used Bush as a puppet. Since he knew that Bush on his own would have been thrown out for gross incompetence and sheer idiocy even before his first 100 days in office, he orchestrated the Iraq War to ensure billions of defense contract dollars flowed into Haliburton and his other shady businesses. Now, he is trying his best to disrupt Obama's plans to close Gitmo and relocate the terrorists. The GOP must be in real bad shape at this time that they have asked their fearless leader, Cheney, to spread his doctrine of fear over the airwaves in an effort to undermine Obama's administration.

In my opinion, Obama is on the right track and is "walking the talk" every single day. Yes, Cheney can BS all over due to his right to freedom of speech. However, if I were Obama, I'd draw the line and tell him to go take hike one of these days. It'd be a wonderful idea to add Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, and even Bush to the roster of relocated terrorists in a Super-Max facility. After all, these bastards were guilty of the following crimes: first-degree murder of our young and able servicemen in Iraq; irresponsible fiscal policies that caused the economic mess Obama is working to resolve; intentional slow response to the poor victims of Katrina; ignorance of the ill effects of Global Warming; sheer gross mis-management of the country in the last eight years that have caused misery and economic hardship to countless millions; and, demise of respect and admiration in the international community all due to an English-impaired but cocky prez who ruffled feathers across the globe, etc....

I admire our president tremendously, and I thought he outlined the situation in Guantanamo extremely well. Former Vice President Cheney also made some points at least worth considering, though to me, they fail to hold water in the end.

If Guantanamo had been set up more carefully in the beginning, in the way that Obama proposes now, we would likely have been able to use it indefinitely as a place to house foreign nationals who pose a terror threat. Unfortunately, it has become a major liability now. If we, as arguably the most powerful nation on earth, cannot figure out how to house 240 dangerous individuals, we are not worthy of that title.

Why not build a facility just for this express purpose? What's wrong with middle of Death Valley or the wilds of Alaska? I can understand the need to segregate these folks from the general prison population, so I think we should keep them together untill each one is tried or found to be a Prisoner of War unable to be tried or released. Obama is correct in saying that the three branches of government should co-operate in this effort. With those checks and balances, it is as fair as we could hope to get.

Has the congress gone mad? Who comes up with this stuff? Just what harm is it that will occur if we put 1- or 15 of the Gitmo prisoners into our US. prisons? Why is there a knee-jerk reaction to this? Think people, think. We house mean and dangerous criminals in many, many different prisons and there is no problem. I am beginning to think that our congressmen have no sense at all.

If Mr Cheney believes that only he can keep the country safe from terrorists,he should run for president. He was very eager to ruin G.W presidency behind the scene. He forgets that 9/11 happened during his watch.
