I am reading some of this and its ridiculous. First of all, he had to BAIL out all those industries because they were not going to be able to help them...its called the CREDIT CRUNCH!!! Google it and it will explain how bad the economy is due to BANKS, LENDERS and INVESTORS just wanting quick profit from the public regardless of the credit history. http://vimeo.com/3261363 Look at that video which clears explain the how we are in this mess. Damn, most of you people really need to get educated in different areas like politics, history and economics to even have a valued point. It makes me laugh seeing how you may not understand everything but already jump to conclusions. You guys need to wake up and stop thinking about yourselves and look at other countries that have universal health care, let's say like the people in Canada. Obama is just trying to fix a lot of problems that the U.S. has in a short amount of time. Before anyone judges, regardless of political views, needs to be open-minded to do research on all the arguments from all sides from different sources and stop jumping to conclusions from a single source or place.

I moved to the Charlotte N.C. area because of their health care facilities, because I am a cancer suvisor and had trouble finding a primary care physican because they would not accept me because I am on medicare. I have a med suppliment with blue cross, but the said the problem was the low payment from medicare.
I finally found a doctor after five months because one of my neighbors ask his doctor to take me.
This is an example of how doctors look at government controled coverage. W.B. North Carolina.

Come on. Are you Americans blind to seeing what Obama is doing to our nation. Already, he has taken over banks, the auto industry, etc. and now is trying to take over the health care industry with the pharmaceutical companies wining and dining him at the same time. What do you think they are doing that for? Wake up. He is destroying our nation. We have no retirement plans left. Employment is at an all time high. Foreign nations are laughing at us. He is bowing to all the terrorist nations. He is a disgrace to our nation. No president has ever gone over to the foreign heads and kissed their butts before. He has said America is at fault for everything. He is ruining our nation that was founded on God, and it is getting pushed so far from Godliness. We need to let our Congressmen and women know that WE put them in office and WE can take them out next election. Obama has nothing to do with them be re-elected.

Quick and simple every American can understand....Obama admin claims it cost 52-53 BILLION dollars to care for the uninsured. Hmmm to me it's alot cheaper to pay the 52-53 Billion to treat the uninsure then to change the health care system to Obama's plan and cost us over 1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS... Do the math.....Does anyone know what a Trillion Dollars is???? Come on America, WAKE UP!!!!!

Social Security. Medicare, Veterans' benefits, many Education laws, ALL are Single Payer laws. The rabid Right Wing Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats (Republicans-in-disguise)have to be defeated, for America's sake. Pass Single Payer/Public Option Health Care NOW Pass the EFCA NOW.Send the GOP and Blue Dogs copies of President Kennedy's book: "Profiles In Courage." Encourage them to read it--and profit from it, by voting for the American majority who want and need these things, NOW

As to the comment about people with coverage not caring about those who don't have: 1. "don't you think that a regular checkup/treatment is cheaper than hospital emergency rooms?" Answer: Our healthcare may need reform to cover them outside the emergency rooms; but not the socialized medicine we see in Canada and Europe; where if they ration healthcare out depending upon whether your age or situation warrants the treatment or not; and some treatments will be discontinued as not considered worth the "heroic means or "too expensive" to be commonly used. And what about the uncommon research for cures? Only the private sector goes beyond the ordinary to perform those. Many of the treatments performed now in the emergency room will NOT EVEN be offered with socialized medicine. Also, with all the lawyers in senate and congress you WOULD THINK SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT IS IN THIS BILL. HAVE YOU investigated??
I vote WE NEED A DIFFERENT BILL!!!! TELL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES NO TO THIS ONE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE TO UNDO!! make them discuss it in DETAIL WITH THE PUBLIC--NOTHING IS FREE. LOOK UP THE COST OF THIS BILL. On the news they discussed talking with your 65 and above old grandma about requiring her to listen to a government agent about "just taking the pill" that our PRESIDENT suggested to the lady in the audience; and THAT PILL is EITHUSINIA. Your frightened grandma might just listen and not do her treadmill instead. YOU GO FIGURE..
