thinker, if you are going to give credit for the obama intelligence that resulted in victory, then he must take responsibility for the 4 deaths that just ocurred.

From day one when President Obama stepped into to office he has done a wonderful job. He went in with his boxing gloves on so to speak. He didn't go in with his focus on one or two issues he plunged into them all. Some spoke of his lack of experience..... He has been handeling issues for our nation LIKE AN EXPERT!!! PRESIDENT OBAMA KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! People you have to remember he stepped into a waste field & it takes time to clean and sanitize things to make this nation come together in every aspect.

I guess it takes someone in the military to insist that the only way to deal with "the deeply rooted mindset of the Taliban, Iran, North Korea, Russia, China ..." is by force. If you would just take a minute to think (like your more intelligent President Obama) the bloody list will always go on if Americans think the only way to deal with looming threats is to throw a punch!
Plus, why shouldn't the credit go to Obama? The military serves the nation, right? The nation's leader is Obama, right? In a situation that requires intelligence and force, the inclination is to note the intelligence because force alone is nothing. Just like you can't win a golf game by hitting the balls hard, you cannot seek victory (in the long run) by mere force.

its ironic that people past so much judgment on a president who move decisively, and prestige, people get mad, sometimes message have to be sent to be heard, and i commended obama for his decision.

Its very ignorant of you to say that Bush didn't go to New Orleans after Katrina happened because there was a bunch of thugs parading the streets with guns. I think we all know that the majority of New Orleans population is black. Would those people have been thugs if they where white?

It is interesting how the media is so quick to give the President credit for quelling the incident. First, the military needs to be authorized only once to strike. Second, ALL of the credit is due to the U.S. Naval Special Warfare operators that train relentlessly to be able to make a shot from a pitching deck, in dwindling light conditions, and the risk of sending a bullet six inches past a hostage's head. They were three for three.
As a former Marine Scout/Sniper, I understand the shot these guys had to make. The Obama administration should have a placed any and all credit on the U.S. Navy. And not merely lip service, which is the tone I gather.
You call this a trial for the Obama Administration?? Think for a minute about the challenges that faced the Bush Administration; 9/11, the go/no go for Iraq and Afghanistan, natural disasters, virulent, ad hominem attacks from the media. The President was accused for not setting foot in New orleans following the disaster. How could he with a bunch of thugs parading the streets with guns? Perhaps if they didn't act like aimals, he could have acted more swiftly.
Look ahead to Pakistan. The descision now facing Obama is one that faced Bush in 2001/02. The Taliban are now 60 miles in closing from Karachi, where nukes-a-plenty are present. WE KNOW there are nukes there. Let us see then, the size of the Obama pair, if he can trade popularity for security. If he can trade American lives for the safety of this nation. Or wait a minute, will he use his charm to win the Taliban to his heart?
Tell me, what sentence can Obama form that will reverse the deeply rooted mindset of the Taliban, Iran, North Korea, Russia, China, the list continues.
Will he send them a reset(overdrive) button too??
I think we may have a Neville Chamberlain on our hands.

Lets see, 3 dead pirates on Obama's approval. Is that torture? Need to ask Pelosi about that torture, was she not a cheerleader? What goes around comes around.

Surprising that BHP hasn't issued an apology to the pirates yet.

Are you shilling for Michelle Malkin?
Let's see:
>Three dead pirates;
>One pirate on trial in US Federal Court;
>No friendly casualties;
Yep. That's what a dim-bulb neocon calls a failure.
