President Obama should really think about going to Eglin AFB near Ft. Walton Beach FL for a month in August 2010 - where they can watch over his security and he can send a message to the rest of the world that the Gulf is open for business and he's bringing his family down to enjoy it's resources. Then folks might believe he has the best interest of the nation at heart during our oil slick days down here on the gulf. Should he go anywhere else but to the Gulf of Mexico - Americans will question his committment to our national grief. When the oil hole in the gulf is capped then go back to Hawaii. Before it is visit the gulf coast states and show an effort to relax here as well on his working vacation.

I can only thank obama for giving me more ways to help save my life from bankruptcy, forclosure and basicly being out on the street with my 2 sons and wife i thank obama from the bottom of my heart for saving my life and my family for an most certian demise. For all you people that think this economy is horrible how about you come on over to the great lake states and find a job, if you don't know anyone your luck is your not going to get a job out here Trust me i know im laid off for 1 month now , but before you judge obama because im laid off on his term i was laid off for 6 months on bush's term and im lookin to get back to work before november, so i have seen the economy pick up very gradually since obama took office, its going to take time but it WILL get better. So Mr,Obama take your vacation and relax but all i gotta say is when he gets back he's gotta get right back into it

Does this guy ever take a vacation? Every day he comes up with something to either further depress the stock market, make the rest of the world or nervous, or now to make every kid in American tear their hair out. BO - give it a rest, okay?

you need to get out of the presidents behind. I lost my job and need it back him vacationing dosen't do that. When your a president your life is not yours no more its the peoples and you job is to make things better not talk and show no action.

The preident dserves a vacation, time for R&R. I sincerly hope for the impossable-------THE predd leaves him alone. Would want a camera in your face as well as your families?

He will probably not receive much vacation. But anybody will need to rest, else we will not make so good decisions when we are tired.

President Obama has been on the go almost every day for 3 years. I don't see where he gets the energy. He deserves a break. Let him take a break and come back refreshed. Every man needs some private time with his family. Sure our economy is in a mess. It was in a mess before January and it may still be in a mess after the summer. As much as President Obama moves around, he needs to just sit still for two weeks. I hope he does not let others talk him into not taking a vacation for political correctness reasons. I would then be disappointed in him.

The American people should know by now that Presidents are never on "Vacation" on a round-the-clock basis as though one leaves all work behind to be taken up later.
Bush's Crawford Ranch was equipped with all the electronic communications systems he had at the White House. He also received his daily briefing and definitely received any emergency information that became available. Air Force One is so equipped.
Clinton's Martha Vineyard's place, Kennebunkport, Maine, for Bush I etc. were so equipped.
If Obama and family want to take a vacation, it's a good idea - refreshes the mind - AND THE MEDIA SHOULD MAKE IT CLEAR THAT PRESIDENTS ARE WITH THEIR JOB 24 HOURS A DAY - EVERYDAY - THROUGHOUT VACATION PERIODS.

less then 100 days on the job and they're talking vacation???
What other job in the country lets you get away with this?
All of these people are so out of touch is it beyond belief.
