To all that complain about the auto bail out:Alowing these companys to simply crash would have had a devesting impact on the American economy. At least restructure was forced on the companys to ba able to recieve aid.I do believe in firing the ones responsable for the financial ruin of big companys is a start. Now for the big financial/insurance companys that execs recieved big salarys and left customers broke should be charged as criminals!! They blatenly stole from the people that placed their trust in them. PUT THEM BEHIND BARS FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFES!!! History repeats its self.. This isnt the first time this has happened.. WHY ISNT THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR A FEDERAL CRIME??

My blessings to Ford a truly American company., Instead of bailing they should reduce all the salaries in half, six hours of working shifts. The AFCLIO is a decadent Union ,they were alluring ilegals to join the union..

It's interesting that concessions forced on millionare finance executives are temporary, while concessions being asked of workers are permanent.
Concessions made by auto workers become the new standard for the industry and effects wages for all American workers, but a millionaire commodities traitor - I mean trader - can simply get a higher-paying job with another company after giving up salary and bonuses momentarily.

Until he finds a way to deal with the union wages and reduce fed. regulations nothing will change. There is no way US auto makers can compete with foreign workers while dealing with the current labor cost and regulations that have been placed on them. Say whatever you want but numbers are numbers and they don't add up for the US auto companies.
Now we taxpayers can continue to prop up the auto makers and delay their failure or they can change their entire structure, and that includes union contracts.
