if it's not one thing it's another but the fact is the cards are dealt. 4 years down the road things will only be worse if Americans don't take their heads from out of the sand and actually do something for themselves as opposed to hoping that someone else is going to fix it. THAT is the American spirit, not "oh you need to fail because you have a different view than me." If all we do is complain about the cards we've been dealt we're out of the game. Finis. Cooked. This is ridiculous that all this country does is complain when it gets hit with tough times. You want a better life, well than do something POSITIVE about it. Don't nay say and wish failure. DO SOMETHING. And SHUT THE HELL UP with all the complaining and nay saying. Failure is not an option as a country.

I think the reason all of you people like making fun of this man is because he is the shot that takes the Almighty Obama out in 2012 . God forbid that this would happen. You all blame Bush for what happened and what not but was bush in congress when the Dems had pushed the bail out bill through with such haste and hurry, no. And guess what i have to pay for it probably for the rest of my life and im only 17 so thats gonna suck. I hope you all realize that big gov't cant fix this problem and that obamas plan is making things worse and i tell you want i cant wait to see a whole new gop congress in 2010 and jindal as president in 2012.

As President Obama so correctly stated during an earlier press opportunity..I find it difficult to accept criticism from those who got us in this situation. The mental giants such as Jindal, Limbaugh, the Bush's, etc. didn't have a clue what was going on while the country's economy was tanking; what on earth would lead one to believe any of them or their Republican sidekicks has a clue how to fix it. So all they can offer is "Well gee, I don't know a thing about this but I sure hope this President fails". Very American gentlemen, I bet you make your Mother's proud. And people wonder why I voted for change, for President Obama.

Bobby Jindal needs to be in La. tending to this states problems. His programs here have done little to change this state or the employees he selected to work for him.You cannot get a reply to a letter about a problem from him or his staff.I have voted for him twice, but never again for Gov. or Pres.

If Bobby Jindal and the politics of failure are the best the republicans have to offer, then we are in for democratic success as far as the eye can see.Republicans and bankruptcy are synonomus

Not many years back, anyone who did not agree with invading another country for "regime change" was unpatriotic. I can barely imagine what would have happened should someone have said "I want it to fail." Well this is a different kind of war, but in the words of th famous Pogo quotation "we have met the enemy and he is us."

like Bobby Jindal re-crafts his statement to be in almost word-for-word plagiarism of Rush Limbaugh, every Christian everywhere ought to be ashamed of their public leadership in the so-called "conservatism".

Gee, I feel so bad for the Republicans. Whatever will they do? Eight years that lead up to this mess. I have absolutely no interest in anything they have to say anymore.

I agreed with a number of President Bush's policies and disagreed with many, I am in the same position with our current President I agree with many of his positions and disagree with some. However the recent comments by Jindal and Thompson wanting the President or his policies to fail is disturbing. Trying to separate the President or his policies failing is semantics. If the President or his policies fail so do we.

Expressing our opinion fighting for what we think is the right strategy for our county is our responsibility and should be a continuous process. However, If you were going into battle even though you strongly disagreed with the strategy of the commander would you still want the commander to fail. My son is in active service with the Marines, I take great offense at anyone wanting his commander and chief to fail. Rush Limbaugh started this train of thought and some Republicans are supporting this extremism. It is wrong plane and simple. It should be America First not Republicans First.

People who say they want the President to fail are too short sighted to see that the failure of the President is the failure of the country as a whole. Also, was there any President who pleased everyone? NO...Was there any President who met every expectation...NO....Was there ever any President whose policies were 100% efficient or beneficial...NO...That is just the way politics goes, nothing is ever perfect...if you were the one who took over after GWB, you would be having an equally rough time...this is the time for Americans to weather the storm, blaming one person for accumulated failures is useless.
