When it comes to politicians seeking to bend the Constitueion to their collective wills they will find the subject to be very true. No one is going to collect my firearms. The reason I have mine is to protect my family and ward off tyranny. If the President wants me to give up my guns it is surely a sign of his tyranny. He and his political syncophants should hear the voice of we, the people.

Being an immigrant to this country, I have always been impressed with the "can do" attitude of the American people as well as their tenacity and immense strength in difficult circumstances. These attitudes prevail and flourish in a free society, but they do not even exist in socialist countries. There people look to the government for help and are unable and often unwilling to help themselves. My hope and prayer is that socialism will not overtake this country, and thus take away the "can do", positive, creative, attitudes of the American people. This would be like a death in the family to me.

Obama communicated clearly - emphatically - but still with an effort to encourage working together with the Repubs. Very specific in some areas as well. Tone=strong and morally sound. Content=informational.
Jindahl looked terrible, and was a real sour note. Katrina, a noun a verb and 9/11 - just like Rudy and GW, and of course the fix-all:tax cuts.
Jindahl's overall approach is that we should give up on government. If we should, then why is he so interested in advancing his career in government? Why does he aspire to be president if he thinks government is ineffective?
Another example of Jindahl expressing conflicted views - if people are smart enough to decide on how to fix the economy without government, then they are smart enough to vote for the right government representatives who can also do a good job of fixing the problems.
Government is not the enemy. Mis-management and weak ethics are. You can find this in all sectors of the economy whenever there is no oversight - private and public sectors. Oversight was a dirty word during the Bush years. Pushback was the order of the day. Obama is fixing this, but old habits die hard. Expect continued pushback from the far right politicians.
