Is it popularity that is selling these things (specifically the Chia Obama) or is it people like me who find it hilarious and disrespectful at the same time. Funnier because it is disrespectful in my opinion. I plan on buying about 50 of them, painting the faces to look like Bozo the clown and using wheat grass to make the fro as tall as possible. Then I'm gonna resell them for twice what I paid. Free enterprise baby….it IS Amazing!!
I LOVE this country!
Capitalism doesn't equal money.
Capitalism equals FREEDOM.
Get over it.

It is not President Obama's fault that people are cashing in on his popularity. Just because he is popular and people want a part of it does not make it any less of a wonderful president. And I think Michelle Obama looks fine and classy.

I don't believe that the President of the Untied should be a pop culture icon.

Abraham Lincoln was a mediocre (and arrogant) first term Senator who was carried into the White House by the media and a public ready to change parties. He is entirely unqualified and unprepared for the responsibilities there and it has shown up immediately. Give it a rest

Obama was a mediocre (and arrogant) first term Senator who was carried into the White House by the media and a public ready to change parties. He is entirely unqualified and unprepared for the responsibilities there and it has shown up immediately. The criticism he gets is merely a matter of the "chickens coming home to roost", to quote his spiritual mentor and has nothing to do with racism.Had he been white he wouldn't be President now in the first place. Give it a rest

There is no more "racism" in Amrica since Obama was elected president by 50% of the people, however anyone who doesn't portray Obama as the messiah automatically must be a racist. Hypocritical democrats. btw, I saw a gun ad for "Celebrate the 44th president, buy a .44 Magnum". If only Obama was receiving royalties for everyone using his name to help sell products he wouldn't allegedly need kickbacks from the lobbists. Of' course that's just a rumor.

I beg to disagree on the assessment that the Obama Waffles product is somehow racist because the caricature of B.O. has "thick lips." Have you seen the cover of Mad Magazine's Obama's First 100 Minutes edition? Thick lips. So, is that the litmus test for racism? Does that mean for the next four years, any cartoonist or satirist draws B.O. with thick lips will automatically be deemed a racist?
For decades, caricatures exaggerate the features of whomever they're parodying. Nothing new in that. Or have you forgotten the giant-sized ears and pointy chin which cartoonists on the left happily placed on Bush for most of his administration?
Furthermore, you completely missed the humor in the "Point box toward Mecca for Tastier Waffles" line. I think the guys who put that together were genius. They simply took the controversy over whether or not B.O. had Muslim roots and played it for a laugh. Likewise, they put B.O. in a sombrero on the back because he's know for saying one thing to appeal to the La Raza crowd and then saying something opposite to the rest of us.
Maybe the truth about those Obama Waffles is that their political satire struck too close to home for your comfort level. And now that B.O. is in office, anybody notice his tendency to waffle? How about that giant waffle on his pledge not to have lobbyists working in his administration. Something like a dozen top level appointments were lobbying with gusto just last year.
Why don't you and others in the press stop playing the "racist" card every time you see a portrayal of B.O. that you don't like. Lighten up already. It's just a box of waffle mix.

Just relabel your crap product as "Hussein Obama" and it will sell to some brain dead suckers. This is America! Make the $$$$ while you can. What a great country.

That free enterprise is some amazing thing, isn't it? Incorporated entreprenuers just jump in and "go" with their ideas. Who would have imagined?
