Thank you Pres. Obama. It will help us alot since this year we
have had to fight Blue Cross/Blue Shield four times because my husband had surgery on June 17th and the insuranvce has tried to drop him because it has cost them over $5 million and they do not care if he has the treatment to survive. He was in the hospital eight and a half months and now they want to drop his home health coverage. He lost his leg to blood clotting not diabetis and every month I have had to fight them for coverage of every proceedure . If I did not know about insurance they would have succeeded. Most people do not know enough about how to fight the big insurance companies. I was an insurance agent at one time and I know how they go about creating loopholes. Some one in congress needs to regulate them. Other countries do not pay for insurance the way the U.S. has too. The doctors also seem to think that every proceedure is needed and someone needs to oversee the loopholes in the medical industry. I am still fighting the insurance to try to get my husband what they need. Presently he is needing wound care but they say that our
amount allowed has been spent. Now I am going to have to get him to a hospital e.r. and let them pay the enormous amount until the insurance sees that home health would be cheaper to extend. If I take him to the emergency room it would cost alot more because these companies are trying to scare us off the treatment but I know that they would have to pay the hospital care and give him the treatment that he needs. This is how I have done my battles with them for the last two years. Last year it cost them $24,000 at E.R. for IV's that he needed. They decided I was right and they were wrong. I feel that other customers need to learn how to fight them.
Again I thank you for helping those that are in dire need of help.

We are now in the end times.
We need to abandon our criminal government and we need to do it NOW before WW3 is started.

Thus far all attempts at bailouts have been fruitless wastes of money simply because the basic fundamentals which caused the problems are still in place. The lenders refuse to lend because the lending rules haven't changed and they don't want more worthless paper. I can't understand why folks can think the rules can remain static and the addition of money will work. It is the system which failed and must be repaired in total.

The lack of transparency and accountability of the Bush administration makes all statements from the transition team purely speculative until they actually take control of the government. President Obama is putting forth plans yet without full knowledge of the actual facts at hand, his actions will remain dynamic at best. We must face facts that nobody knows where the bailout money has gone, how much has gone, the minute details of borrowing funds and any future obligations. At this point, the transition team is flying blind because even the Bush administration doesn't know the answers. The transition is similar to taking over a bancrupt corporation where nothing is certain until the auditors issue their reports and decisions can then be accomplished. While the pols and pundits want exact statements and details of President Obama's plans, he and his team have yet to ascertain the complete situation and it could be even worse than we now know!!!

I've liked a lot of things Obama has said and done since winning the election, but I was highly disappointed in this particular speech. It did not give me any confidence whatsoever. Sustained trillion dollar budget deficits are unacceptable and I do not buy into this idea that government alone can get us out of the recession. He seemed to imply that without government action we would never get out -- that is nothing more than a rehasing of the failed statist ideologies that we have historically fought against.
We have a lot of smart people in America with common sense as well as a significant number of individuals with good sense about economics and business. President Obama must reach out to various players in the economy and rely on data in order to find a proper, balanced, and fiscally responsible mix of government investment and tax cuts. If he narrows his views and is as ideological as some on the right had been, he will give us economic policies that stifle long run growth, expand government intrusiveness into our lives, and stifle innovation. Every American ought to sift through his stimulus plan page by page and line by line to see what exactly he has in mind. His speech was full of a lot of ambiguity and sort of implied that we need to trust him with not much recoarse. Of coarse, we all remember the last time we put too much trust in a President. We got an ideologically driven foreign policy that was not adjusted to reality soon enough. We also got things like the PATRIOT Act and the department of Homeland Security slammed through Congress with little opportunity for debate.
Well this economic stuff is more important as it is closer to home. On foreign policy, the President has a lot of latitude to execute his agenda. On domestic policy, he must be watched like a hawk. This is not about disliking or distrusting Obama. I voted for McCain, but I believe that Obama must do well. If he does well guiding us through the recession and our war efforts, he will do a great service to America. But I believe that America is too great and its people are to independent and intelligent to give into vague plans or to be subjected to "bold experimentation" by one man. The action needed may be bold, but it must be well thought out, it must have positive results, and most importantly, it must fit within our Constitutional restraints.

Valid points Bobc of KY. And I would add with millions of Americans losing their jobs (the ADP report just released said close to 700,000 private sector vanished in December) Obama has told radical ethnocentric groups such as La Raza that he supports "comprehensive immigration reform" a/k/a amnesty for millions of illegal aliens!
If Mr. Obama pushes for "pathway to citizenship" amnesty for illegals, he will be working directly against the interests of American workers. If Obama wants to create or save 3 milion jobs, the last thing he should do is amnesty millions of illegal foreign workers!

The bozo's in D.C created this mess and now expect us to believe they can fix it? They will continue to send millions of our tax dollars to foreign countries yr. after yr. Pay for illegal's here, pay college, room & board for foreign students, and just recently we gave one foreign country $40 million to protect their coral reef!!
Why do we go to work to have our tax dollars and jobs sent overseas, or given to illegal aliens?
George Soros pulls Obama's strings, he has also wrecked other country's economies to gain profit and change a political order...this needs investigated here, along with Paulson and his China deals!
I have no faith in these politicians, there are a handful that a decent, and they get no press, nothing!
Common sense is a trait that is lost in Washington!
