Just like I have said before, by the time his first term is up you will be begging for "Ms. Sara" to run for President. Two years of running for president and he has yet to answer a straight question. The man it a joke, and all you folks that are SO IN LOVE WITH HIM will get change. But not the kind you will be happy with. During my eighty-seven years I have been very good at telling how good a president will be. So far I only missed on one. (He was shot before he could do anything). And I am predicting this one will be a disaster for you country. And by the way, when did we start letting the whole family move into the white house? Mommy dearest needs to keep her a$$ out of there.

So, if Obama has all the answers to the world problems why does he want to meet with all the living ex-presidents and the leaders of congress to figure out what to do?
I thought he had a plan. He TOLD US he had plan. He told us he could fix everything including THE PLANET.
Now, he has no answers besides calling on everyone else to come up with some ideas for him.
You know you Obama fans, Barry made all kinds of promises to get elected to office in Ill, then did NOTHING. He ran for his US senate seat and has no accomplishments as a legislator in Ill. Then he made all kinds of promises to get his US Senate seat and what did he accomplish? Getting elected President. He did NOTHING as a US senator except run for his senate seat.
Now you clowns expect him to do SOMETING as President? Based on what? His record is one of do nothing except advancing his ambitions.
Two full years of campaigning for Prsident and not a single claim of accomplishment either as a "neighborhood organizer" or a legislator. We knew everything there was to know about Joe the Plumber within TWO DAYS of him asking the Messiah a tough question, but after TWO YEARS years of his quest for The white house we now have major news anchors like Brokaw finally admitting they have NO IDEA how Obama will govern. Brokaw actually said "We know nothing about him". TWO YEARS the activist media covered him and yet they know nothing about him. We knew everything about Palin within a week of McCain namimg her his running mate, what with ARMIES of activist media reporters looking for dirt on her in Alaska.
Funny how NO ONE from the activist media did ANY such thing in ILL or Chicago. They made NO ATTEMPT AT ALL to discover who Obama was.
So now here we are with all kinds of issues. Financial issues caused by idiot Democrats in the Clinton admin forcing banks to gives loans to people who were not able to pay them back...then sell the bad debt as investments...backed by Fanny and Freddy. Gee, giving homes to people who couldn't afford them never sounded like a good idea to banks or Repubs, but the Dems DEMANDED it be done. All attempts by the Bush admin to head of this crisis were thwarted by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. Lots of low income constituents were getting homes and were quite pleased with there Democrat benefactors. Their benefactors were willing to take down the entire US economy to get some votes. The activist media take on this? Its Bushes fault of course. No investigative journalism on this issue folks...the biggest story of 2008...I wonder why? Maybe because the activist media knows any such truthful investigation would show how DEMS created, administered and defended this idiotic program that has thrown the world into a recession.
Obama has his hands full and absolutely ZERO experience on how to deal with it.
Thanks Democrats. You got your man, now we all have the most inexperienced man elected to President at the precise time we needed someone who knew what to do.
Ronof NC1:17PM January 04, 2009
None of the comments I have read make any real sense. None of you have a cristal ball to tell you how the man will deal with the many problems.
If he is faced with a room full of egos, the result will probably be sonme infighting followed by a room full of resignations.
My hope is that Obama has the strength to resist the pressure that will come from the people who are counting on his cooperation. The people who in their self-interest would take this country further down the road to total destruction. I have no idea what will happen. I am content to wait and see. I suspect that we are in for some surprises.

Obama is telegraphing his strategy by appointing multiple advisers to, in effect, advise on the same thing. Of course the advice will be conflicting.
So, he will just ignore it all and do what his ideology calls for. He can justify this because someone has to decide and where else but the Presidency. This means all these high-paid functionaries will be totally frustrated. But, this is Obama's way -- give lip service to others and do what he wants without consideration of the costs or relevance to the problem.
What can we expect of a narcissistic personality who thinks he knows it all?
Arthur E. Lemayof CA6:15PM December 09, 2008
Obama is bright, independent, competitive, and strong; he will have no problem handling a team of similar personalities.
A weak person such as W. would certainly have a rough time managing such a team.
Obama, unlike W., did not choose a shrinking violet for a wife. He chose a partner who has strength and intellectual capacity to match his own. Says a lot about him.

My reading of this of this article reminds me of someone else that seriously needed to be considered for Obama's cabinet. One called, Mr. Richard A. Clarke, formerly known as the man who through hie heart and head showed great humility and intelligense to the nation, the 911 Commission and the familes who suffered thru that terrible tradgey we all felt and survive thru. Readinf this man second book, called "Your Government Failed You", is indeed a roadmap that needs to be shown, read and traveled thru for this country of ours. I have always been proud of what the founding "fathers" did to start this country but can not believe how far we afield we've become both in principle and practice. Waiting for our new President to take the oath and start moving this country forward to solve all of the mess both parties and especially our current President has left behind to handle needs all of our prayers, help and attention to make the 21st century our best part of our hertiage. Mr. Clarke has shown tremendoues love and affection and total decitation to his and ours country. It would be foolish not to ask him to serve his beloved county again.

Strong egos cannot be tamed. Prides will be hurt. In-fighting will abound. The Obama Adminstration will struggle to rise above the inside power struggles.

Mr. President elect definitely have a team of egos, and I am awaiting the opportunity to see how the lefty illuminati side will stand in their positions. I think it may not be such a bad thing to have the team work together, the way I see it is they could all keep each other on their toes so to speak. They are good at pushing their ideas, so that may make one another become more aware of the policies that are considered issues. Anyone that passionate about how they feel, will make someone willing to become more educated on certain subjects. At least we won't have someone just pushing ideas, and aren't passionate or truly knowledgeable about what the policies.

And I agree, with Mr. Obama.
Of course I'm an Australian and it is not my business, but thanks to our Mr. Howard
we are inextricably connected and the problem is now ours to carry as well.
But first what is pragmatism?
It was called practicalism, and coined by an famous American philosopher.
Other words of association are Constructivism and Constructionism.
All these words can be found in another great American invention Wikipedia.
Americans are at the beginning of their journey, not at the end.
One of the greatest expressions of this philosophy is the American software Industry.
In 1982, XeroxPARC released Smalltalk80 which is now used by the NYSE itself.
The inventor of this software? Alan Kay a famous educationalist.
he said " The best way to predict the future is to invent it". Ok now do it.
Please just remember what you invent the world has to carry.
The list of great American discovereies goes on and it all comes down to Pragmatism.
I'm not suggesting that the answer lies in software or even in pragmatism.
What I am suggesting is the negatitavism expressed in the opening comments
are based on the inability of good people to be bold and see this as an opportunity
