New Federal Climate Change Agency Forming

Do we need another federal agency? The President has already reduced greenhouse gas emissions in the US by about 8% last year. The US Energy Information Administration reports all the coal, oil and natural gas consumed (burned) for energy. Last year's report will show an 8% drop from the Bush energy hey days.

Do we really need another fiefdom to bow down to? If you are at all familiar with the way, just for one example, OSHA operates it should scare the bejeezus out of you to consider empowering a government weather regulatory agency. Just imagine what crazy restrictions on anything they conjure up as requiring regulation in order "save the weather". These scam-artists should be made to repay the treasury for all they have cost the country for their nonsense.

Am I hallucinating, or do we have some govt. agencies already performing this work? NOAA for just one example. Wouldn't it be less cost to jnust direct all heads of agencies to pool results/resources? Mr Obama & his Czars/new agencies will never increase employment, just debt. Stop the madness.

If the new agency doesn't have an axe to grind and if it doesn't
create policy that leaves the USA with it's hands tied behind her back (forging ahead without the co-operation of India, China
and others)...then a qualified OK.

I voted for Obama and will vote for him again in 2012. But I wouldn't trust a federal climate change agency to tell the truth. Anthropogenic Climate change is nonsense.

As if the country wasn't going broke fast enough, we create another federal agency to study a natural cycle of nature which isn't be caused by human activity. Can this country continue to exist if everyone works for the government or is on the dole and no one produces anything? I don't think so! Lets start by getting rid of all the czars and cutting the pay of EVERYONE that works in the government and this includes congress and then we can go to work on the DEBT.

All the money in the world, literally, is at stake. This is more about money and power than concern for the planet. It's great to be ecologically responsible, but there are too many cases of manipulated data. Certain people have a whole lot riding on this. If Gore and his ilk really believed we were in peril wouldn't he cut back some on his humongous carbon footprint and quit eating red meat?
Redistributing wealth through some carbon trade system won't work, either. If things were that simple, nobody would be starving because all the aid would get to those in need, instead of armed thugs and corrupt officials.
