Obama Officials Won't Rule Out New Taxes

Three things I saw in the article above to comment on.

First off, they say that the way to bring the economy back is though the ObamaCare Program. Do they actually think that we are all so mentally challenged that we will buy that crap? How can putting our grandchildren in debt for trillions of dollars help our economy, today or next year?!! These filthy criminals, from Mr. Obama down, deserve to be on bread & water in Leavenworth Penetentiary, doing hard labor!!

Secondly, the author says that it, meaning the possibility of new taxes for everyone, will be the latest test for President Obama who has vowed not to raise taxes for most of America. In real english, what there saying is this. Can the President be a real politician & go back on his word so soon after he's given it? We already know the answer to that one. Since Mr. Obama has already proven, several times, that he's an accomplished liar, in regards to promises that he made during his campaign.

Thirdly, every time someone uses the term "reform", in regards to ObamaCare I want to scream. Reform means to improve what we have. These Socialist swine have no idea of reforming anything, if we let them have their way. They want to start something new, to America, that could very easily destroy us!! Maybe Leavenworth is to good for filth like that.

Muser writes, "You raise taxes on the high end."

No, this is socialism which is directly contrary to our free and democratic way of life. This is Obama's socialist "redistribution of wealth". This is anti-American.

Best possible solution is two-fold. Significant reduction of government spending and a flat retail tax.

A majority of government spending is wasteful pork barrel spending. Our fed rate of spending could be cut in half by simply eliminating pork, especially socialist entitlement programs.

A flat retail tax can easily replace our current personal income tax method and our capital gains tax method. A flat retail tax instantly eliminates unlawful tax shelters and instantly eliminates tax cheating. You buy an item, you pay a flat retail tax. No avoiding this and tax money is collected upfront.

To close, America is in an economic mess because almost all individual American families are financially irresponsible as is our state governments and our federal government. We brought this down upon ourselves. Pork barrel spending by the feds is completely out-of-control. Our current tax system is based upon socialism and is a failure.

Obama's socialism will only serve to inflict further damage upon our nation.

Crunching numbers based on tax revenue, debt, spending and proposed spending, Obama's domestic economic policies are simply not sustainable. A huge deficit bubble is building and will eventually burst.

There are few lending resources available, almost sources of government borrowing are tapped out. Those few lending resources remaining are very limited. Doubtful, in the near future, there will be any lenders for the feds.

Appears to me the only way out of this economic mess is massive tax increases upon all Americans, either directly or indirectly. My best guess is this will be indirect through this 10% VAT notion being tossed around.

This VAT will allow Obama to appear to have kept his campaign promise to not raise taxes, while all Americans are backdoor taxed.

Crunched numbers indicate something is going to break, soon.

A pay for outcome / value payment system, key to the deficit-neutral, might be capable of bringing all groups together.

Supporters of the agreement say it could save the Medicare System more than $100 billion a year and 'improve' care, that means more than $1trillian over a decade, and virtually needs no other resources including tax on the wealthiest. (Please visit http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=820455&catid=391 for detailed infos).

As much as 30 percent of all health-care spending in the U.S. -some $700 billion a year- may be wasted on tests and treatments that do not improve the health of the recipients,” Thus the remaining $239 billions over a decade do not matter. Supposedly even the conservative number of such savings might be able to meet the goal.

Dr. Armadio at Mayo clinic says, "If we got rid of that stuff, we save a third of all that we spend and that is 2.5 trillion dollars on health care. A third of that and that is 700 billion dollars a year. That covers a lot of uninsured people."

Apparently, just in case of the difference between the estimate and result, or the worst case of scenarios, Obama officials may have made a statement taxes may rise to pay health care.

You raise taxes on the high end. After all, that's where we lowered them in the past to bad effect. We still bought a recession and we have further polarized the country between rich rich and those who (except on massive debt) cannot afford the basics: housing, food, a car and health care. At the momsnt, the stock market is going up on the "earnings" of dumping millions of people out of their jobs.

Additionally, if income taxes were where they should be on astronomical incomes, you wouldn't be having any debate about whether Wall Street bonuses are questionable. You make $100 million this year "trading" against the average citizens? Fine, Uncle Sam gets 70%, plus state and local. You think that's unfair? Where do you suppose that "trading" income came from?
