Why do we become so hostile to each other when our problem is not the 'white southern male' or the poor guy without insurance, a job, or losing his home. Our problem is with the idiots we VOTED IN, supposedly to represent us but are in the pockets of the lobbyist who are representing the Pharmaceutical and health insurance industry. The Pharma/Health insurance industry has spent almost $200 million to dupe us into believing that health care reform is not good for us. The truth is, it is not good for them since they stand to lose the billions of dollars in subsidies they divert from Medicare into their greedy, nasty little pockets. The dumb Blue Dog Dems and the uncaring Republicans who are in the pockets of these lobbyist don't want to lose either so they join in the fight against reform to benefit themselves. If these poor excuses of politicians were actually concerned about the "cost" of reform why haven't they done something to stop the costly subsidies that are draining Medicare, the taxpayers, seniors and the poor. We are not the enemy, the enemy are the greedy, uncaring, selfish Robber Barons of the Pharma/Insurance industry. Let's stop being nasty to each other and turn that energy against the real 'problem' here...the special interest groups who care only about making more money and not about our health. Come next elections make sure NOT to vote for any INCUMBENT---they are part of the problem. They are all sellouts. They have had over twenty years to work on an equitable, affordable health care plan but they've sat on their big butts and voted themselves a generous 'government run and guaranteed' health care plan and pensions--the hell with the rest of us.

This question was asked in a Tea Party Meeting, but no answer as the Congress person didn't have the guts to show up! If we are asked to make sacrafices for the 15% who don't have insurance, don't you think that our FEDERAL Employees should also?

If everyone who supports heath care reform just sent ten bucks to HEALTHCARE-NOW, we will have it!

Yo, Dara! Woodstock has been over for forty years now! Get off the weeds and LSD and join the 21st. century. It might interest you (but, being a fruit-and-nut-job from CA, I doubt it) that we "Angry White Southern Males (AWSM)" believed this long before Limbaugh went on air. I've voted hard-right conservative all my life and I didn't need Limbaugh, Fox News or anyone else to "guide me." My GA compatriots on this blog no doubt take umbrage as do I to idiots like you who throw around cute little nutty phrases overheard from MSNBC or the New York Slimes; your whole specious arguments tell me that you also suffer from a bad case of cognitive dissonance. Believe it or not, some AWSM's actually do go to college and learn something - some even getting Summa Cum Laude degrees from prestigious universities.
Please: grab a few more tokes and go sit in a corner...youll feel better.

You idiots from Cal. don't even understand what you are asking for. Have you researched care in these other countries? It's rationed!!! The gov. decides if you geta procedure or expensive drugs. My plan is expensive but I am well covered. I don't want to change the system> If we were not supporting all the illegals with our health care dollars, we could afford our system. Not to mention tort reform the attorneys have gotten RICH off our backs. Wake up and smell the antiseptic!!

Dara, too much Kool Aid. Really, who are the nutjobs? "The health care plan is on schedule for ...whenever". LOL. Get a grip.

Adam, thanks for opening my eyes to Obama being a 'Marxist/Socialist'!! Do you even know what those terms really mean or do you just repeat whatever Limbaugh barks out?
You right wing nutjobs are really too much! I suppose Obama's also an evil Muslim terrorist and part of the black panther movement out to get you angry white southern males!! Your comments about Obama are so absurd they don't even warrant a response.
But let me just clarify one thing for you about the healthcare system. This system is broken and its costs are rising rapidly. If you read my post, you would see that I agree with the 'public option' and said nothing about universal healthcare. But judging by the results universal healthcare has achieved in most of the industrial world, which is to provide good healthcare at costs far lower than ours, I would take it over our system today IN A HEARTBEAT.

One of those Blue Dogs, Jim Marshall, comes from the state of Georgia. And we couldn't be prouder. Healthcare is a go to the mat issue. The debt that has been piled up in 6 months simply has to stop. And the post CBO assessment BS suggesting nebulous savings not recognized by the CBO just doesn't cut it.
JarodBof GA9:05PM July 28, 2009
The most ignorant argument...we are paying for it anyways so we need universal health care... Now, if we are paying for it now, why should we pay even more by adding more government offices to the process? How does this make any sense???
The fact is, tort reform has been proven to reduce health care costs (you can find many examples here http://www.atra.org/wrap/files.cgi/7964_howworks.html). However, the problem with this approach is the politicians advocating to help those in need are special interest trial lawyers and/or receive significant political contributions from such and are not going to hinder their industry with such legislation.
It is not nonsense, he is a Marxist/Socialist...
"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout,I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors and the structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night,in the dorms,we discussed neocolonialism,Franz Fanon,Eurocentrism, and patriarchy." - Barack Obama, "Dreams From My Father"
What is nonsense is the numbers of people who are duped by him and his political cronies.
