The state has given far to much to far to many that have nothing to earn it for to long. It pays money out to the illegals, it pays money out to a welfare system full of people that are simply lazy vs truly in need of it's help. It pays for programs that nobody wanted in the first place, that served no purpose, other than to pad the pockets of the politicians.
I didn't vote for Schwarzenegger, many of us learned our lesson of electing some Hollywood has been when we put Reagan in office. He screwed the people of this state as well.
Those of us on social security will not be getting a cost of living increase this year either, so that just adds to the hurt. These aren't budget cuts, these are cutting people's lives, creating more problems than it's curing.
You can bet when the rich politicians they don't have the poor to steal from any longer that there will be lots of benefit money for them, they will never worry about becoming homeless, or know what it's like to go hungry.

I consider myself a liberal but there comes a time when giving a free handout to every illegal person that crosses the border to have children and collect welfare finally is no longer cost effective, AND this my fellow Americans is exactly what has happened to California. As much as I despise greed perpetrated by the rich the greed of the undocumented aliens is now destroying an entire state and nobody has done nothing about it for at least the last fifteen years. The scariest part of this whole scenario is nobody will ever fix the problem because they have a great retirement check coming in the next couple years and could care less about the rest of us.

Ok, all I want to say is that the budget issue in California is a problem because of the legislation and its methodology. As well as because the voters (who are legal and documented) who have decided on ballot measures for the past 30 years to borrow, borrow, and borrow more money. In 2008 we voted in favor of building a train from Santa Monica to San Francisco which will cost us 2 billion dollars of borrowed money. We voted Prop 98 forcing us to spend a set amount of money on Education (I like education, but if we don't have money then where do we get the money from? Oh yea, let's borrow some more).
The bottom line is that I am reading all these attacks on illegal Aliens, medical problems, medicare, and so forth. Lets be real people...the truth is that we are in this mess because of the choices we have made as voters. We need to revamp the entire California Political process and really fix the budget issue.
