What a joke all this buzz about the next Supreme Court nominee.

The bottom line is any time there's a Republican in office, he picks his conservative judges. Any time there's a Democrat in office, he picks his liberal judges. So we have all this stupid debate every time a new Supreme Court nominee is presented. And after Congress goes through their diddly-do show, and all the talk-radio blowhards have their say, and all the conservative or liberal congressman and women put on their show, the nominee is approved. It's always been this way, and it will always be this way. And our great country always seems to survive it all. But let the show begin again.

I am adverse to this appointment due to her anti abortion stance. This woman could set other women back in our progress to become independent. Our bodies could now belong to the government.

This we do not need. She is also anti-government and pro-union. With her, who needs the governance of the Constitution.

As a summa at my alma mater, I may have a prejudice in this

matter, but note that Judge Sotomayor was also awarded the Pyne Prize, the top undergraduate academic honor, at her graduation. I fear that Obama may have nominated her because of the hearsay that she would put "policy" over stare decisis on the bench; she will I am sure be given an opportunity to clarify this matter at her hearings. I trust she will distinguish "policy" from "polity" and the Republicans will be ill advised to attempt obfuscation there. (My point on the "swine flu" is one I shall insert in all comments while there may yet be time to act -- since we may otherwise not have a functional government by this Fall.)

I have very carefully analysed the first three comments re/President Obama's first nominee for appointment to our Supreme Court. I know that I am a little slow, but how do the first and third comments relate to MS. Sotomayor's nomination? I thought her highly qualified though a bit young when President Bush appointed her to the federal bench, but her elevation by President Clinton and quality of work at the two lower levels speak very well of her.

Obama does not seem to have his priorities in order for the good of the country. He clearly has little understanding of economics, and is intent on pushing some of his campaign whimsies. In about four months the flu season will hit for this year -- and it would take those four months IF WE START IMMEDIATELY to get a deliverable supply of vaccines for the "swine flu" which may make 1918 seem like a daylong cold. My doctor, a leading UW professor on infectious diseases, estimates that the cost of prevention might be about $12 billion if implemented NOW. Yet our federal government, from top to bottom dawdles (and goes on vacation) while giving that amount to any banker "too big to fail" -- I think no politician is too big to fail.

Judge Sotomayor would seem a very well qualified candidate for the Supreme Court opening, and I wish her success. We will need a sound Supreme Court when the other two branches utterly fail to restore the health of our country.

Dear Fellow American esp of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania

Governor Sarah Palin must beat Barack Obama in 2012 because of her superior conservative right wing philosophy in that she is pro God and Christianity, pro life, pro marriage; pro guns-second amendment, pro low taxes, pro low government spending; pro small government, pro unintrusive government, pro traditional and Judeo Christian values; pro Bible reading and prayer in our public schools, pro Christians schools and private education , pro private and free enterprise; pro military spending, anti arms agreements with Russia, pro creation; pro nuclear, pro conservative supreme court judges, pro American sovereignty; pro capitalism, anti communist, anti socialist; anti immigration, and pro constitution. Barack Obama are of the inferior liberal and left wing ideology in that he is against every thing that Governor Sarah Palin is for and he is for every thing that Governor Sarah Palin is against. Above all from January 20, 2013 to January 20, 2021 Sarah Palin will be the greatest President that the United States of America will have ever had.

Lets go Sarah Palin for President 2012

Thank You,

John W
