This is the WORST federal agency in the history of our government. These workers have no title 5 protection, TSA management doesn't comply with the Rehabilitation Act, and thus terminates veterans and non veterans who are disabled, and cannot meet their standards under the communist Aviation & Transportation Security Act. The TSA is as close to fashism in the US Government as one can get. This agency ranks in the bottom 5 of all agencies 9 years in a row. Only the KISS A$$ employees who suck up to management like this agency. TSA=The North Korea of the federal government. The management at TSA should be ashamed of the way they treat the officers' who work hard day in and day out to protect the flying public. In Summary, this agency is the result of George Bush and his cabal of anti labor hate mongers. Once this agency has a UNION, it will be a great place to work.

Give me a break, If you need a union to fight your battle then you need to belong to the private sector. Anyone that need a union should not be a TSA employee. The lazy and good for nothings only apply for union help because they don't work or trying to get out of work. They complain about not getting a raise well maybe if your were more assertive you might get what you want. If not find another job!

You union BS people need a life. Join if it is free, if you have to pay you're the sucker they are looking for.

I am a TSO. I and among many of my team members believes that the security of our nation in any organizations should never be privatize because profits is the contractors' interest not our safety including our officers. I and my team members would support and believe in TSA but we are sadden to see and experience alots of unjust have happen to many of our pass and current team members and there is not much we can do. We all long and pray for TSA to take over all airports even if it means that some of us might lose our jobs but we believe strong with all our hearts that as citizens of America we all should do our parts even if it means possibility of being displace. God Bless America! We are Americans!

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) was created in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Collective bargaining rights didn’t inhibit the heroic actions of the 9/11 first responders… our honorable men and women who fulfill the duties of Transportation Security Officer (TSO) deserve the same consideration.

Collective Bargaining coupled with full workplace rights will enable these men and women to address workplace safety issues, ensure adequate training to effectively complete their mission and provide protection when they point out potential security breaches.

These are hardly “lazy people.” AFGE has had a strong membership growth over the last decade because we make the government workplace better, more efficient, and more accountable. TSOs this is your union.

Wake up and smell the donations... AFGE wants in to collect DUES! They need the money since people are fleeing unions left and right. People are tired of paying hard earned money to crooks(union leaders) to give it to more crooks (politicians) They don't give a rats butt what happens to the 'workers', as long as they stay employed and paying those dues. Isn't it funny how the people I work with who want the union the most, are the laziest ones around. They want the protection to be lazy government workers who get raises when they don't earn them.

With or without collectively bargaining rights, AFGE has made a commitment to our Nation’s Uniformed Officers of TSA and we are making good on that commitment every day. AFGE recognizes the need for Transportation Security Officers to be represented not only in the workplace but also in Congress and AFGE has the resources, expertise and clout needed to provide effective representation for all uniformed officers from the smallest airport to the largest. Here at TSA we don't even have enough officers to run an Airport in the right way. We are running a bag room that requires a minimum of 3 officers per machine, but we have 2 machines and we only have in the room 2 o 3 officers this includes the Supervisor and the Lead at many times. Now I will like to know if this is fair. We need someone to represent us and to fight for our rights. ASHAME I feel when I get called SUPERVISOR, why? I don't Supervise I just here to work and keep my mouth close because if I open my mouth against upper management I can get punish. Upper management mistreats every employee that works in the field (Airport) and never, never, we get a thank you for the work we all do. I have been a Supervisor for 5 years and believe me; I am here because I need my job to feed my family.

I would love to know where you work. Do you work in a workplace where you get tested everyday to see if you are sharp on the x ray, or even three or four MAJOR other tests a year that can make you lose your job if you fail. I really do not think you do. We here at TSA are the most tested federal agency in America, if not the world and the treatment we get for passing all of these tests is just simply unfair.

Now as for the private contractors, let us please all remember that when you were terrifed on September 11th, 2001, just like the rest of us were in America, do you know who let Muhammed Atta (the leader of the 9/11 terrorists) and the rest of his terror cell on those planes??? IT WAS THE PRIVATE CONTRACTORS. TSA was made from that horrible day and since than naysayers of this organization, like yourself have made it to their destinations safely because of the hard work we do here at TSA.

So Steve from AZ, next time you want to criticize TSA do your homework first.

Hi it is a sad time we live in when the general public don't even understand are care what we workers are going through, all mosts of them say is let me on the airplane, so i can make it home. if we tsa officers would just overlook items that goes through the x-ray machine every plane that goes up will blow up in the air. So what i am saying is we officers take our job very serious but we are disrepected by managment and the general public, and to top things off kip hawley says it will not work if we officers get collective bargaining. Now that is a shame that managment is very quick to give a AWOL and place you on leave restriction and give a PDD AND MOC AND TO TALK DOWN TO YOU.and then when it come to the PASS PROGRAM it is A BIG JOKE. ITS TIME FOR CHANGE,for someone to take control of the hate and the favortism that goes on at tsa the lies and the unskilled managment at tsa.....WE NEED MUCH HELP.

I've been with TSA at a cat x airport since 2002...That's over 6 years. In the first 3 nobody received a pay raise. If you were a boot licker you could have received thousands in bonuses, If not, NOTHING...In the last 3 years under the PASS system I have received a measley 2% raise. 2% in 6 years. Oh, I know you think, well, maybe you just didn't deserve anymore. I have never been disiplined for anything, never been late, always have an annual leave surplus, always have a sickleave surplus, have received performance awards and have received customer service awards. But I will not be in the club of the "good ol boys" I could go on and on but I think you get the jist.
