Just because you are a disabled veteran doesn't mean you can't use TriCare. I am 100% disabled and from time to time I use TriCare. I pay the family rate for me my wife and my daughter and as long as I keep my premiums paid I ahve jsut as much right to ude TriCare as my family does. You too have the right to use TriCare because you are paying the premiums, period. Not sure where you got that idea but it's not true.

Make sure and scan all your documents and the application. If and when the VA loses your paperwork you will have them in your computer ready to copy and resend. The plus to this is that you will have filed, have a claim # and will be able to use the retro date whcih is the 1st of the month after you have filed. If you are getting to the 6 month mark and still have not received the pension, a freindly letter to your Congressmen will light a fire under those who are responsible for the claim. Another word of advise, by-pass any local VA agencies as this is just another avenue for your application to get lost. Go directly to your regional VA office to submit.

Widow-sent ALL papers for Claim. Army. July 13,2010 Tues. St Paul, Minnesota VA Reg Serv Cntr, sends Letter, they need DD214 & DEATH certificates, which can NOT be gotten & Mailed within VA 3O Day timeframe! Filed Oct. 28, 2OO9 with VSO(who sent All). It was Stapled so -o-would be lost. VA, called Twice-NEVER mentioned 2 Very important papers gone! They Concerned What I put on Internet-purpose of phonecalls;suggested I File 4 Soc. Sec. Disab ility OR get Help from Welfare(Very Dense on Pauper-Widows age 51)
