Emerging Gay Adoption Fight Shares Battle Lines of Same-Sex Marriage Debate

I feel as though gays and lesbians have the right to adopt a child no matter what there sex are if they are married single or living together yes it is a sin but who are we to judge them. They can't help who they love and we can't stop them from loving who they love and why is it that they can't share that extra love they have with a child that needs a home and as far as kids been teased and picked on that is going to happen regardless and for the writer for gay adoption and marriage it has been proven that kids who are raised in a same- sex home tends to do better in a two parent home then in no home are a single parent home and they tend to be less violent but what a lot of people are missing is it's not about the sex are the race it's about the kids so I have no problem with gay's and lesbians I want them to be just as happy with a family as anyone else and also they have a way to have kids of there own surrogacy but they would rather take in a kid that needs a home first and to me that's smart because every child needs a home and someone to love them and to teach them right from wrong but if they keep on going the way they are going no child will every find the parents they are looking for who will love them. Let's change the way we look at things and how we go about things it's 2010 it's a time for change and it should start now.

I think that we should allow gays to adopt. They are people just like we are. Who cares if they are gay.They still love and care about the childen who do not have homes.

you people need to stop. to gays cant help the future go on they cant reprduce 2 children and if they adopt kids cant can affect them people in school this world is nothing but shame and hate alot of kids get peicked on because they live with a gay couple most end up becoming gay or sucide which is not good i dont really have anything against gay adoption just leave marriage for man and women only thats the way its suppost to be how else do u think kids were born from a male and a male or a female and famle no a Women>and Male thats how everyone was first started on this earth. All kids need love and good parting so it really doesnt matter if the parents are gay just becarefull how the kids see it as.

I believe that the children should be brought up in a home where opposite sex parents are involved. But I also believe that the children should be in a well nuturing and loving home whether its in a same sex household or not. If a gay couple wants to adopt a child and are able to give the nuturing that they need and are able to provide for the child they should be allowed. Gay couples I believe have the same concept of parenting as well as any other. Some people may not like it because they are "homosexual" but then that is limiting the children chances of having someone who loves them and wants to see the child(ren) succeed in life.

right now, i am in government class debating gays and lesbians adopting children. i am on the mojority side and the minority thinks that childen who can comprehend what gays are should have the right to choose whether they want to be with a gay couple or not. what do you guys think?

I think kids deserved to be loved... If a gay couple wants to adopt a child to give it the love the child needs, then I'm for it! In foster care, they don't love you, they pass you on and on! Any kid would be happy to be love, even if it is by a gay couple! What does it matter that the person who love and cares for you is gay?
