I think the American govement often find many excuses to cover up the facts!Democracy often said better than what they do.

Palin, Bush, McCain flock together. Autocrats who value loyalty above intelligence, fire those that don't conform, maintain secrecy on their decision processes, and always look backwards for ideas and people. I don't want a backward looking person, I want a forward open minded person in the Presidency. I certainly don't want one who thinks they are on a mission from God. Leave that to the Blues Brothers.

While this article would like to suggest that the current trend of secretive government is bi-partisan, it is a blatantly false premise. The current Republican Administration has reversed the previous Clinton Administration's trend of open government and releasing and declassifing documents to be available through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
The secretive nature of the Bush Administration simply means they have lots to hide, and falls in line with the corruption, deception and dishonesty of the Bush Administration. Bush has instituted Stalinist tactics to suppress information about the extensive incompetence, cronyism and deception we have seen during the past eight years.
It is vital to overturn the Bush/McCain regime to restore accountability to the US government, so it is vital to not reelect Republicans in the White House.
To suggest that this is anything but Republican reflects the authors bias, common to failures of the 4th estate not reporting on the lies and deception of the last eight years.

These days just about every american has come not to trust our goverment and it`s officials, including state and municiple. It seems like every time one turns around somebody is making a movie, documentory, and of course everybody`s favorite-WHISTLE BLOWING.When we(the public)get a hold of these so-called secrets, useually somebody or groups of somebodies did something that was unethical, underhanded(pen mightier than sword),or flat out illegal.Lies are not just, not telling the truth, but also withholding information especially when asked. So what better way to hide one`a wrong-doing by classiffying it-SECRET.Also let us not forget that other word(even i use this one)that goes allmost all the time with secrets and lies, and i love when i hear it-DENIABILITY.This means if you...congrestional,board of..,commity to..,whatever,cop,judge,principal,parents,can`t prove i did it,then i didn`t do it.

If you don't like a secret government get out... Go to Russia where they have Glasnost.
Who was at Cheney's secret energy meeting... Maybe Kenny Boy Lay from Enron... We'll never know.
In a democracy there is a openness and transparency in a totalitarism there are secrets.

No legislation actually opening any power abuse secrets will pass Republicans UNLESS only some Democratic thing can be held up as an embarrassment. Bet on it. Republicans DO NOT permit their own embarrassment. That's why you need them out of the White House. McCain/Palin the clean-up, shake-up team? Ha!
In Alaska, Princess Palin is now withholding 1100 e-mails in her Palace during the election. Don't tell me that's national security.
