when you turn on your country you are called a traitor. what name should a country be called when it turns on a true patriot who distinguished himself in defense of that same country whose acts of bravery in that defense are forgotten? It's a flaw of human nature to rush to judgement. It happens even today. There is no defense for treason of course, but i believe there should be a bit of understanding for mitagating circumstances as to the cause.

Reading this story of Benedict Arnold shows a tale of bitter irony. This was a guy who actually sowed the seed for the American Revolution and never reaped the benefits. Not only that, but he got screwed over by both America and England....
