I think it was right of him to be executed. I feel for his family.. but the victim's family needs closure too.. why should Lynd get to see his family and friends in prison when his girlfriend's family never gets to see her again, and she did nothing wrong... an eye for an eye is the way to go
they should've shot him

Just as you stated Wolfi,..."We don't even hav'em-only some bad Guys.".... When you outlaw guns, only 'Outlaws' will have guns.
You also said, "On most answers I see how the perverted System of Capital Punishment works". If you see it working, then why waste space criticizing it?
Finally, "An eye for an eye"...helps everyone else to see!...what they cannot get away with!

On most answers I see how the perverted System of Capital Punishment works. It´s not courageous having a gun and use it, its brave not to use it.
Like Mahatma Ghandi said: An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

It help´s Victims families to see Victim is revenged? I would like to see Studies about this fatal Thoughts. What i read and heared about this, is a short Pain Relief, not more, coz Victim stays dead.
On the other way Capital Punishment has a long tradition in America´s History.
Life a long time was not worth more than a penny in "God´s own country", therefore i should try to understand your behaviour, but i can´t. We mostly don´t use guns to solve our problems in Europe. We don´t even hav´em-only some bad Guys.

...Ya damn right, 'Volfe'. My family has waited too many years for the b@st@rd that killed my cousin (and others) to cease using oxygen. All in cold blood, over chump change. I guarantee there will be a line of family members willing to volunteer, should they not be able to find someone to see it through. Call us bastards if you like. I don't care. I hope you never have (or had) to experience this type of loss. You would rather that individual go to prison, still get to see their family and get conjugal visits? All at our (including the surviving family members) expense? What about the possibility of them getting released due to a SNAFU? If they are executed, our family has closure, the taxpayer burden is lifted (for that criminal) and we all move on.

I think if that happens the States gonna die a very fast dead. (this is ironic)
Not ironic is that people who support Capital Punishment or no less bastards than a murderer himself. They both try to play God, but Criminal knows he´s wrong, Pro-DP´s are Hypocrites who pray Justice but say Revenge.
F..o..

I agree with D'Anne, Public executions were what lowered murdering rates because it brought fear into everyone that witnessed it..Now-a-days we are being to nice about this...We should go old school and shoot them...

It seems to me, that in Texas, it has the most executions since I believe 1937, it was supose deter people from killing one another, it didn't work. Do we bring back public executions, then that way people can see what happens and think twice before they commit such crimes?

I think that since he shot his girlfriend 3 times in the face, he should get shot in the face. Three times close range. And if anyone has anything different to say, then too bad. he should have thought about that before he shot her.

Lynd's lawyers never argued that he is innocent of his crimes, only creating excuses for why he did them. Well, we execute mountain lions, dogs and any other creature when it has killed a human being even though that is perfectly in the nature of those animals. Lynd is no different. Rather than ending the death penalty, we should focus more on how to apply the death penalty uniformly to cover ALL repeat violent offenders, who account for the vast majority of crime in the USA.
