the 4 men killed february were in my husband's company. this second cowardly attack took place while i was on the phone with him, and he described the flames shooting into the air. may god keep all our men safe and comfort the families of the dead. and may we not become complacent and forget the work they're doing and have yet to do.

I currently have two son's serving in Iraq. One of my son's lost his best friend last week. I have endured what he is feeling. Now to hear about this week's tragidy and not hearing from him worries me alot. I pray for his safety along with all of our troops. I read the news in the newspaper, however, nothing else has been published in our paper. My worries are very high and am searching all aspects for information. Please keeps our troops in your prayers this Easter Sunday and every day they are in harms way. Thank you.

Now I do agree we should not have a timetable of drawdown quite yet, but I do not agree on your opinion that it looks like a surrender. The people of Iraq need to start to figure out their own responsibilities now. We have given them the tools, we have given security, and we had taken down a dictator regime. We won, fair and square. The battle now is the extremists vs moderate Islam. With places like Mosul where the diversity of Arabs (Sunni and Shiite), Kurds, Christians,and Assyrians remains a big factor, it is hard to find a balance for each group to be happy. Al Qaeda takes advantage of that. Plus especially in places like Mosul where the unemployment rate is huge, people need money and the extremist groups also take advantage of that. It is not a surrender, but it will make the Iraqi people decide now on what is best for them. A western influence and muscle will only anger the other side more with being here. It is time for them to settle the differences.

To post the deaths on military persons before contacting the IMMEDIATE family is cruel and against the policy of D.O.D. That information is privy to the Mother or Father and to put it in print or to release it to the media first only allows people like yourself to deliver the bad news which you obviously have no skill doing other to gossip! Your anxiety although justified to you does not over-ride your lack understanding and name calling of out military.

I have a family soldier in Mosul, and nobody understands the pain of not knowing. The Army should post casualty information as soon as they know it, then follow up with a visit. This waiting is horrible and cruel and making people crazy. I'm sure thousands of people feel this way. You can't ignore it. The Army idiots either don't know or don't give a hoot about people's emotions.

Our brilliant "commander-in-chief" and the leftists insisting on a "timetable for withdrawal" in Iraq is now and will continue to result in increasing numbers of US casualties. To insurgent forces a "withdrawal timetable" is as good as surrender. We all have Barack Hussein Obama and the country's leftist cowards to thank for the upsurge in attacks on Iraqi civilians and our brave men and women in uniform. The same culprits are also responsible for the upsurge in attacks on our soldiers by "moderate Taliban" forces in Afghanistan. I hope you are all very proud of your "surrender NOW" strategy. It seems to be working brilliantly.

I am not american, but my cousin is, who is serving with the US army in Mosul. He is the only son of my uncle, I read the news a short while back, and like you, I am worried sick. I can't imagine how his parents feel every moment of every day. My thoughts and prayers with you and your son.

Although people want to know the news, I am a mother of a son who is serving in Iraq US Army, I wonder, Do you know what it does to me every time I hear/read about deaths, bombings, etc, and theres no way to hear my sons voice at this time, not knowing, wondering, was it him? Is he alright? I pray you have more consideration for the families of the soildiers serving there, my heart is full of worry, at this time, my nerves in knots,,,I sit and pray now for the safety of my son, and hope and pray he is alright, until I can hear from him , I sit here ..WAITING......
