how will pakistan defeat Taliban when USA and Pakistan together cannot?

Presence of US troops in Afghanistan in general and predator/drone attacks into Pakistani tribal areas in particular is alienating the opinion of Pakistani against US.The Talibans coupled with mercenaries of all shades take advantage of this situation and obtain the sympathies or support of local population.Those who oppose them are killed in the name of Islam.
Only solution is a time tabled withdrawl of US forces.This would deprive ths Taliban being supported by ordinary peace loving citizen.Once deprived of this base,the Pakistan Army then take on the Talibans
