First, great book How Does It End.

What about the contractors? For every 3 soldiers there seems to be 4 contractors, about 195,000 it seems.

Or can you recommend a book on this topic of contractors in war? Many of which are mercenaries, but how many? Apparently US Military isn't good enough to protect the US State Department?

How many contractors are in Afghanistan?

Why do we not have the heart to stay in Iraq and win. liberal's don't understand that something's are worth fighting for. Iraq is the front line in the battle for freedom. everyone has forgotten what happens when we ignore our enemies. Yemen, Kenya, Tanzania, Saudia Arabia, are just a few of the problems we have when we turn a blind eye to our enemies. Obama scares the hell out of people that actually have seen what is out there and understand that our enemies hate us and are praying that Senator Obama wins this election. The future has never been scarier..

A journalist analyzing the performance of General Petraeus and the overall strategy in Iraq would be hilarious if it wasn't for how damaging the news media in the U.S. has been to the military's goals there. Throughout, you overlook the fact that George Bush hasn't called the shots on this. America's best military and intelligence analysts have developed options, from which President Bush has selected. I'm sure our military urged President Bush to draw out as many terrorists as possible in Iraq, and establish bases there. Now, instead of thousands of green troops, we have thousands of much more experienced troops - and sophisticated bases of operations. The most insane thing we can do, is eliminate that - just what the anti-American liberals want (as well as Bin Laden). Now we can approach Afganistan with many experienced battle-hardened troops, refined and tested technology, and numerous bases of operations. You liberals miss the obvious. You're more trouble than you're worth, and your existance is a great disadvantage to the United States of America.
