George W. Bush, without a doubt. He, along with Cheney and Rumsfeld, etc., got us into a war that we had no business getting into. No Iraqis involved in 9/11, no Al Queda in Iraq, no weapons of mass destruction, etc. This mistake has cost thousands of lives, tens of thousands wounded and tramatized and billions of dollars. In addition it has rallied the Islamists all over the world and has in a security situation tha will never end. Also, his lack of leadership has contributed to many of the economic problems we now have.

1. Reagan for Nicaragua, Grenada, Libya, Mozambique, Angola, Iran/Iraq, Afghanistan, South Africa, Lebanon, the Savings & Loan crisis, escalation of the war on drugs, the Air Traffic Controllers' strike, and AIDS health policy.
2. Andrew Johnson for destroying Reconstruction and taking a distinctly pro-South policy line.
3. Andrew Jackson for the Indian Removal Act and his staunch pro-slavery advocacy.
4. Wilson for World War I, being pro-segregation, lauding the KKK and other Southern reactionary movements to Reconstruction, the Espionage Act of 1917, and the Sedition Act of 1918.
5. Coolidge for fostering the conditions leading to the Great Depression and using the Presidency to advance a clearly pro-business/anti-labor agenda.

It's so freakin' amazing to me how many of the Presidents on this list, were men who were afflicted with the diseases of racism, bigotry, hate and morally corrupt spirits. It is shameful that many on this list of 10, did nothing to stop the spread of slavery, but rather, only helped to increase its affects. The good thing about their decisions toward not acting with abolitionist spirits, is that destiny had a plan for the ending of slavery in spite of these mens' lack of courage to do so. President Lincoln didn't take a truly strong abolitionist stand against slavery, but rather, he was more concerned with saving the "State/Union". And as we all know, slavery was totally about economics, which only stood to allow the governing persons and bodies in the slave holding states to operate without character.
Everything that caused these Presidents to be listed on this "Worst" list, has to do with economics. From the wars that America has "created", to ensure the private profiteering from those wars, to the issues of the ill-affected and mis-use and abuse of the citizens of America, all of which, are precipitated by Presidential administration economic gains. The Presidency has become a symbol without substance, and it has been on the road toward become so, since the position's inception. It is not an office that is driven by the incumbent's desire to lead with honor, affecting that incumbent's legacy, it has instead become a position of puppetry, which has to change if America is to continue to mature and grow toward becoming the incredible nation that it was born to be. In my opinion, George W. Bush is the worst President of ALL TIME, although he operated with the same spirit that Andrew Jackson, Franklin Roosevelt, and Lyndon Johnson did.

this just goes to show you that we willfully ignorant of history to not have 1 president over 5% til Nixon. Jackson killed native americans. Tyler was in office for 32 days. Presidents 12-15 did nothing about the impending unrest over slavery. McKinley the begining of the progressive movement. And don't get me started on the bigot Wilson. America pick up a book and actually read it

First of all, he had an alcohol-damaged brain due to his heavy drinking throughout his early lifetime. He had very few independent ideas, and simply overlooked serious problems, and acted on them only after their being brought to his attention by his advisors such as Richard Perle, Doughlas Feith, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and many others. And it was these advisors who coerced him into illegally atttacking a sovereign nation, which has cost more than I can imagine in lives and money. This man was a total failure in every way!

Andrew Jackson defied the Supreme Court and killed native Americans in order to steal their land. They should take Jackson off of the twenty dollar bill. Yet five times more people think that Ronald Reagan was an even worse President than Andrew Jackson. I just don't understand the mentality of these people.

Bush did far more damage to the USA than any of the worst 10 did. His dishonesty, his incompetence, his slavery to Israel and Big Oil, and his war on the American Constitution and economy will haunt us for decades to come.

The most inept president ever was Jimmy Carter. He micro managed. He gave awy the Panama Canal that is now under the cotrol of the Chinese. This could hurt someday.
The president that was the most destructive is Lyndon Baines Johnson. He micro managed the Vietnam War.He bragged that"They can't even bomb an outhouse without my permission."He wasted tens of thousands of lives because his ego kept him from being the first president to lose a war.
LBJ and Senator Ted Kennedy gave us the Family Reunification Clause in the 1964 Immigration Bill. Thus began the daisey chain of millions of legal immigrants, mostly from Mexico.Lax bordet security and enforcement of visa expirations has resulted in 30 million illegal aliens today.
The 1965 Cilil Rights legislation, again spearheaded by LBJ and Teddy, enabled the shiftless to ride the tax-fueled Gravy Train.Low income people had an incentive to get on the Gravy Train and the new immigrants were there to "Do jobs Americans won't do." They didn't have to.The Gravy Train was comfortable. Now there was plenty of time for mischief and reproduction of bonus babies.
When the Latinos take control of the government before the end of this century coonditions will be so bad that white Americans will be trying to sneak into Mexico to "do jobs Mexicans won't do."Black Americans future in latino dominated America will be even more uncertain.

i reckon the worst president was bill clinton because he liked to play host to a certain woman that liked sucking lolipops and didn't even have the decency to stand down from the top job once he was found out. The man i liked best of all was John hanson followed by Thomas jefferson. Long live America and i really hope we find a good president because we need one right now.
