The First 100 Days: Franklin Roosevelt Pioneered the 100-Day Concept

Good, true, patriotic government leadership may inspire us, as Franklin Roosevelt did in the 30's, but individual participation is the real answer to economic problems.

All people from management to common labor should be willing to give their best effort, for less remuneration, and to lower their life style. Accordingly, financial institutions should lower interest on loans, and grant longer periods for repayment of loans.

Four hundred thousand dollars a year net income (after paying expenses of making that amount} should be the best salary or profit allowed any individual until this emergency is passed; and these incomes would be for top leaders and executives.

Any additonal income should be applied to paying off the national debt. Stock holders should be allowed to make no more than 6% interest on their investments, the total of which shouold not exceed $400,000.00 a year. Money accumulated by the reductions in salary should be remitted to the U.S. Treasury for the reduction of the national debt. These reductions, along with work provided by the stimulus program should reverse our economic problem within a couple of years.

With such a program, outsourcing should not be allowed.

Both Presidents Roosevelt and Obama face near identical situations, succeeding poorly managed Republican administrations in denial of an economic crisis. Both administrations believed the free-market would correct itself in time while failing to account for their interference. In this recent case disaster was caused by granting tax breaks to entities which outsourced our jobs annihilating our manufacturing base while opening our markets to foreign products. Our economy simply cannot support open borders without jobs at home. The New Deal did ease the suffering upon Americans somewhat yet it was the creation of jobs by WWII which truly ended the depression as people were able to finally save and pay cash for products thus restarting and rebuilding our economy. Paying cash is key to ending any recession or depression!!!

So why are we here in this situation?

Could it be because the goverments job is not to play nurse maid? The bible says if a man does not work...then neither should he eat! Today...even a women who gives birth to 8 babies and who is living on welfare is accepted as normal. Look how far we have come. Wake Up America!
