Actually because of the Dead Sea Scrolls and manuscripts of the New Testament from the first century AD, translators and historians are amazed at how well preserved the Bible is. Christians didn't take parts of Judaism. That's a straw man fallacy. If you read the New Testament from the beginning with Matthew and to the end with Revelation, you'll find that the writers except for Luke were all Jews and believed that what we call "Christianity" was in reality the continuation of Judaism. Archaeology has yet to find evidence which refutes or contradicts any thing mentioned in the Bible. In fact, what archaeology has found is a wealth of evidence that the biblical writers were very familiar with the events, places, and peoples of their books. And there are extra-biblical sources showing that the gospels are correct in what they teach: Jesus of Nazereth was crucified under Pilate in Palestine and three days later was reported by His disciples to have resurrected. This was not something just made up. If He didn't rise from the tomb, the Jewish authorities could have easily pointed out that body was still buried.

Okay, but first here's what you need to do to prove to me that there is no God. Give me scientific proof that something like our universe can come into existence without any previous materials and without anything to cause it into existence.

There is a wonderful book written by Lee Strobel called The Case for the Real Jesus Christ. He dedicates an entire chapter about other religions that Christians supposedly "stole" from. I highly recommend it. Yes, but why do people invest so much emotion and energy to disprove something that they don't even believe exists?

A quest for power? I'm sorry, but that doesn't add up. Each day there are kids in America being put down because of their faith. They're the "nutty" and "weird" people. Mother Teresa worked with lepers, the dying, the sick, dirty, and poor. Her own room was relatively bland in design or fashion. People have been killed for the faith they professed when they loved their neighbors. The church since its origins made it a point to help the less fortunate and there are countless testimonies to back it all up. Yet, many of these people died for their faith or received no wealth or material pleasure from Christianity like Mother Teresa. Now tell me again that is was all for political and material power even though that's what the atheist does because there is nothing else for them.

You are quoting stories that you present as evidence that your jesus existed and that he magically arose form the dead 2000 years ago. Have you ever seen the test where a single sentence is passed from person to person a few times and the story at the end miraculously nothing like at the first. Give hundreds of stories thousands of years and you have today’s bible. Repeatedly changed by both fraud, political motivations and losses in translation from language to language. The Dead Sea Scrolls are proof that Christian stories were borrowed from ancient societies and cultures thousands of years before jesus ever lived.

Here is what you need to do to prove that your God exists.. Find one piece of scientifically valid evidence and then present it to the world. Find scientific evidence of a world flood. Find the remains of the wooden boat that carried two specimens of every imaginable creature on planet earth, a boat that would have to be bigger than any ship known to man and beyond the technology of the greatest ship builders and super tankers afloat today. A boat mad made of wood, by one man.

Find DNA evidence of your jesus, perhaps from the shroud of turin (proven scientifically to be a fraud) or one single hair or bone. After all, you are talking about the most important person to ever exist. After all, we can extract DNA evidence from Neanderthals who lived tens of thousands of years before jesus. Find his DNA with only the MOTHERS mitochondrial DNA present. That would be a breathtaking and world changing discovery.

But no, you and none of your christian cult members or anyone else will EVER be able to present such evidence because it does not exist. All you can do is quote tales of magic, drawn from Greek Mythology and ancient fairytales that endure through the ages just like Santa Claus. Just like the children who believe in Santa Claus for good reason (they get toys at Christmas) you believe in fairy tales for your own personal goals and aspirations having to mostly to do with an adult quest for power and prestige.

RB, it is more like a couple of decades after the fact. Josephus of the first century records that Jesus did indeed exist, was crucified under Pilate, and His followers proclaimed His resurrection three days later. Cornelius Tacitus also records Jesus being a religious leader of Palestine at about the same time the gospels indicate.

Manuscripts and fragments of the New Testament have been found dating back to the first half of the first century. This makes things very different than a hundred years! In fact, more historical evidence supports the Bible than any other ancient document.

Yes, many have done evil things in the name of religion. But more good has been done because of believers, than by men alone. Secular communistic governments have killed more people than the Crusades, Inquisition, and witch-burnings put together. Christians from the beginning were noted for their decision to live a moral life. They saved children who were thrown into rivers by their parents. The founded many of the charitees you see today. Many founders of modern science like Newton and Kepler were Christians. Many colleges and hospitals were all founded by Christians. To say Nazis were backed by the church is false. Dietrich Bonhoffer was a pastor and defied Hitler. He even tried to assassinate the man.

What makes evil so bad? After all, we are merely productions of chemical reactions with no special purpose or meaning for our lives. Perhaps Crusades, starvation, famine, AIDS, death camps, rape, murder, and lying are just ways natural selection occurs. And who are we to say differently? After all, there is no standard of right and wrong for products of random chemical reactions have as much moral sense as a tree or a stone.

Christianity is a false religion and a cult based on a story that would rival today's popular culture movies about vampires and werewolves. The stories about Jesus were written at LEAST 100 years AFTER his death by a group of individuals seeking power. The religion itself is dominated by the Catholic Faith that through accidents of history, corruption, and bribery have actually become a State of their own. Pedophile priests are nothing but the most recent evidence of corruption in a VERY long line of corruption including, murder, priests impregnating nuns, collusion with Nazis to exterminate Jews and the Crusades which are STILL being fought today!

Christianity is the belief that some cosmic Jewish Zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

There will NEVER be peace in the world until God and Allah go the same way as Apollo and Zeus - nothing more than interesting beliefs of ignorant people.
