I see a few parallels between them; both of their presidency's
were begun with a cloud of controversy; did Abe really mean to set the "slaves" free,or should the kidnapping,torture,and exploitation of African peoples be thought of as a shrewd economic move? Barak had an African father,and with the present xenophobia(disguised as immigration reform),has also ascended with some turmoil. Abe was raised in the "back woods", and there was always the question about whether or not he was qualified to be president...,any questions about Barak's abilities(like Abe's) are dispelled when he speaks, and the both of them are excellent orators.Abe's speeches are both legendary as well as lofty...,give Barak a little time,I have no doubt that he can enlighten his listeners as well.
Oh yes,the main thing is that they were from Springfield Illinois; I almost forgot the obvious point here!

I see few similaritys between Obama and Lincoln. Lincoln was a humble man who achieved his position by much pain, toil and perserverance through failure. Obama is cocky, full of himself and likely not very teachable.He has been given most everything he has achieved, not earned it, and he has done that through working the political system. He will ultimately do much harm to our nation. If he is going to be compared to past presidents, I'd say Bill Clinton would be a much closer match. If it weren't for his ego, I'm sure that Obama would admit to learning his greatest lessons on achieving the presidency from the smooth manipulation and positioning of that man.

Tell me that Obama is following Lincoln's footsteps and I'll eat these words! In no way is he even following one of our greatest Presidents! Obama just issued an Executive Order to allow the passage of Palestinians, whom were in support of HAMAS, to be brought over to the United States of America! This Executive Order that is slandishing and degrading your American soldiers who've died in past wars and conflicts are being forgotten by this President O. Hundreds of thousands Palestinian refugees will now be allowed to stream into this country, be given FREE housing (how many of you out there who worked hard all their life to get a house or are still struggling to get their own home by living in apartments!), FREE food, FREE education, FREE health care!!! You and every American born citizen will be paying for this in the amount of $20.3 million and he's calling it "The Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962"! Look it up, its on the White House Blog post. Since he's been in his "White House":
His first call to any head of state as president was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
* His first one on one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
* He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
* He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.
* He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11.
* Today we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to and live in the US at American taxpayer expense.
Anyone else seeing a pattern here?
"Withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11" is one that should frighten and madden everyone in this country - especially the victims' family and friends who knew these people who died at the hands of these terrorists, and yet, YOUR so-called beloved "Obama"-nation WITHDREW ALL CHARGES AGAINST THEM!! Does that seem like a follower of one of our past Presidents, especially Abraham Lincoln?!!

Yes it is indeed great that there is no exceptional president as Lincoln was and now we have a president in his foot steps too ought to be studied and followed if America were to lead the developed countries and the countries of the world including India!
