Well he was un rememberable probably because he died so early in his term..so thats not really fair.

Im black and know at the time he could not abolish slavery. At least he was against the compromise, and didn't wanna let slavery expand in the new states. so for the person that said I hate him you should probably hate millard .more

The Whig contingent had some good ideas. Unfortunately, it was probably the most disorganized political party in history. If only one of their presidents had actually served a full four-year term they might have gotten something accomplished. But alas, none did.

Someone needs to adjust the methodology of the online poll, from readers. I just checked it, after voting, and George Washington - according to U.S. News informal poll onine - came in worst at 69.92%. Sounds like a teenage prank !

Good: Clayton-Bulwer Treaty, stopped Narciso López's filibustering expedition to Cuba, opposed Compromise of 1850
Bad: Nothing

I think it's extremely unfair to call Taylor forgettable. He was stricken with a disease that resulted in him dying in office. He actually opposed the compromise in 1850 and didn't want slavery to expand- he had the potential to be a great president but unfortunately he died before he could save the union 10 years before the civil war.
