Worst Presidents: Introduction

Dear MIKE, you may have a doctorate in economics, but you know nothing about law if you support Obummer's actions in the GM and Chrysler bailouts. To keep it brief, he stole taxpayer money and gave it to his big labor friends and said "screw you" to the secured debt holders (you know, the evil investors). Any president that does that is not only the worst in history, but is nothing but a gangster.

You libtards suck. Everyone knows Obama is the worst president in U.S. history, followed closely by Jimmy Carter. And BTW, your rag, NY Times, Newsweek, etc have become totally irrelevant.

Bard Blackstone- as an engineer by trade who teaches community college classes for pleasure, I feel especially qualified to respond to your post! In my experience, the ideological divide between the educated 'real world' workforce and the academic community isn't nearly as wide as many believe. I'm not arguing that it doesn't exist, but to say that there is a 'consensus' among either group about ANYTHING is a real stretch. For what it's worth, my vote for the worst two presidents of my lifetime goes to Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush. Go figure.

Sorry. It's comments like Tom's that make me cringe, since he can't seem to string two coherent thoughts together. The consensus among educated people who have worked in the real world (versus those who pontificate from academia), the Carter and Obama years will be viewed as the most dismal in American History.

Do not blame Obama. All those economical problems started since Ronald Regan took the office. Our caw boy President started all of this and we helped . Our own mine is not in the right place. We are players and never think for the future. This is my view and goes on and on.

carter is the worst president on record. i called him mr. rodger's neighborhood. he was weak, wimp,no backbone, and the biggest mistake of all time. he did nothing but raise the interest rates up to 18%. people started getting layed off. it was insane back then. i thank god everyday for the real president that saved carter's ass was president ronald reagan our number one man.

We must learn from our mistakes or we are doomed to repeat them! The Republican party claims to be conservative, yet during the George W. Bush administration we racked up more debt than any Democratic party in the past. There is an axiom that both parties have a problem with and that is wars are expensive. Going to war on our own during the Bush administration destroyed our economy and it continues to do so. We need to resolve the conflict diplomatically and get out. We can't afford one war and Bush put us into two wars and promised more of the same. War is the biggest expense we have in our budget because there is no accountability in the money they spend behind closed doors. Regional wars in the middle east have been waged since before Christ and they are not about to stop. We need to work with our allies before taking on the wars alone. Also, Where is the Republicans budget? The just say no party? My motto is " If you can't come up with a better plan, then don't complain about the people or their plan!
