Worst Presidents: Conclusion

Reader Comments

I am as biased as the individual that chose the 10 worse Presidents. I think George W. Bush is and will always continue to be the worse. Especially during my life time. On top of that - oh forget it - sadly people voted for him twice!

Fools, that is all I can say when I read your naive comments.

George Bush flushed the country down the toilet during his two terms, can't even show his face now to support the current GOP frontrunner, but nobody got angry during his tenure, folks went about their merry lives. Now President Obama who has displayed magnificent leadership has endured not only vile personal attacks, but peculiar remarks about his wife and children, which in itself is odd, given that he has a gorgeous family. Better still, I suspect that the level of hatred stems from a "supremacist" ideology which can not stand to see this man in the "WHITE" House. Remember the racial arsonist comments by the right wing bigot Rush "Limburger" even before the President was inaugurated? I quote, " I hope he fails."

I suspect that brain dead Americans who can't think for themselves assumed that the list was in order (from 1st president to current president) rather than the opposite. Especially after reading the majority of comments from people who believe Obama is by far the worst president.

Really?!? Obama, this is the guy that saved the auto industry, killed Osama Bin Laden, got our troops out of Iraq, not to mention turned the job market around (when he took office the country was losing over 750,000 jobs per month). I could go on, there are a whole slew of other accomplishments to his credit.

But let's face it, he won't get the credit he deserves simply because he is black. The American public that watch Fox News and listen to Limbaugh and their ilk have been duped by the propaganda into thinking that conservatives are the good guys and that liberals are the bad guys. They belive that he doesn't like America or that he doesn't like the troops or that he wasn't born here. I used to be a Republican(mostly out of ignorance), but nowadays this Republican party would nuke the entire planet just to make sure the ultra rich got a tax break.

How else can you explain that while the majority of Americans aren't wealthy, they still believe that the ultra rich need more taxes breaks so that they will create jobs. These are the same people that shipped all the jobs overseas so they would be able to save on wages and be able to avoid regulations - all in the name of profits.

GW Bush was by far the worst president since WWII, he did more to undermine American policies and the world view of American that any in recent history.

But then again, there is no true way of recognizing who is worst and/or best - since it's all a matter of opinion (which is subject to partisanship).

Notice that this article is dated 2007-LONG before B.O. came into office. Makes a huge difference.

Evidently 69% believe that Washington did actually chop down a cherry tree.

Obama is the worst. You may disagree if your getting free food, rent and health care.

danny of OK 8:52AM February 20, 2012

Obama is 1-3, Carter is 4&5, followed by Nixon, LBJ, Harding, Jackson and Buchanan. Those are the 10 worst (some are so bad they need more than one spot).

So where does Bush stand?

Jenny Hui of NJ 4:33PM June 04, 2011

To me Jimmy carter will always be known as a great humatarium. Maybe was the best bur certainly not the worst. Regan got the credit for getting hostages released but it was Carter who did the ground work resulting in their reaase the day after leaving office. How quick we are to condem? He inherited a economy in trouble. Look at the good work. Many times with his own money then people he haas helped aand continues to this day. Name one president who gave so much back to society.
