Rudy Giuliani
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was nicknamed “America’s Mayor” for his leadership in the aftermath of 9/11. Giuliani was born in Brooklyn, schooled at Manhattan College and New York University Law School, and elected mayor of New York City in 1993. Known for cleaning up New York in the 1990s and then reviving the city after the September 11 terrorist attacks, Giuliani was named Time’s Person of the Year in 2001 and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth.
