Ther is a confusion among our World leaders!
They cannot distinguish between 'Global Warming' and pollution!
Global Warming is just part of a natural cycle of extremely warm and extremely cold times!
Humans cannot change the natural temperature cycles as evidenced by 'Ice Core' samples that record the temperature changes ofthe Earth in the last millions of years!
Pollution, on the other hand is controllable by man.
However, according to a document published by the EPA, the effect of humans on the Earth's ambient temperature has had the effect of temperature of lkess than ONE DEGREE Celsius since man set foot on this planet!
This document is part of the Congressional records for all to see and read!

I appreciate Patrick of FL's questions. These are good questions. But the fact remains the polar ice cap is melting very fast. The ice fields and glaciers in mountain ranges all over the world are disappearing. The sea level is rising. So maybe this has occurred over centuries or eons. But the fact remains something needs to be done to try and slow this, or our children's children may be on borrowed time.

Pls think how many gas have been filled into car tanks? Where does this gas aleady go into & turn into? Answer: they all go into air, into co2, based on the physical principle of Weight NO Change. So, the climate change is convincing. No more need so-called scientists to prove.

Kerry (Lurch) is yet another symbol of the acquiescence of millions who refuse to use their Brains and demand "full disclosure of the data" behind the claimed science.
Folks, this is not Rocket Science....it is the Weather. Reasonable intelligence is all that is required to ascertain the information.
In addition, there are some basic common sense questions that are not illuminated in the media or by these so called Scientists:
1. Is Earth the ONLY planet in our Solar System experiencing this warming? If not, strike one for the man made angle.
2. Is there UNDERWATER VOLCANIC ACTIVITY under the Arctic in recent years? If yes, strike two for the man made angle.
3. Man has been on this planet for 3 million years.Has the climate, during this period, varied more than range of concern claimed today? If yes, strike three for the man made angle.
4. Current climate statistics claim data ranging from over 150 years ago to the present. How accurate were those instruments compared with today’s? How many, and where were they placed “back in the day”? Where are the details of all the collected data used to support their claims? If raw data can not be found than NO VERIFICATION is possible of the claims being made.

Stop burning the world's forests in Malaysia and South America. The wood is not even being used for any good purpose. This is causing more CO2 emissions than use of fossil fuels!
Put Gore's feet to the fire---the one he says is at the center of the earth and burns at 2 million degrees. What a stupid jerk. Burn his MANSION to the ground and save thousands of KWH per month!

Too bad these self-serving politicos don't grasp two simple facts: Climate change is a cyclical process, which has occured for milllions of years, and second, that too many people are impacting the environment! THAT is the problem, overpopulation. Birth control has been around for some time now, but no one in the UN cares, or even mentions it as part of medical aid to Third World countries, why? Time to change.

It will be sad if those who have convened in Copenhagen leave with little or nothing accomplished. And it will be more of a shame if the U.S. departs Copenhagen not having led in producing a real outcome. We're big users of energy, big producers of emissions, and big phonies when it comes to leading by example in the climate change/global warming debate.
When it comes to hard issues that will affect us, we pull the old do-as-we-say, not do-as-we-do game. Our self-interest has long been our compass in international affairs, and the world has suffered in one way or another because we carry a big stick instead of expressing sincere interest in change HERE for a better world. Bite the bullet? Us? Not if it means adjusting our standard of living as the example for everyone else.
Selfishness isn't much of an example--not in Copenhagen or anywhere our long shadow is cast.

Swiftboat John should learn to keep his damned mouth shut.
Why doesn't Loudmouth Kerry give all his Heinz fortune to 3rd world countries for their energy handout entitlement?
