Before there was human industry, the earth has been hotter and colder. Oil on north slope of alaska (hot). Glacier in Illinois (cold). These cycles take thousands of years and we cannot effect them.
We need to use intelligence to adapt to them.

SO far as what I have known, China is the only country willling to reduce the intensity of the CO2 among other developing countries. I think everyone should take responsibility of this. 70%of the stuff in the U.S. is made in China. Don't you think we should do something too instead of blaming China?

Is reducing the intensity of carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP in 2020 by 40 to 45 percent by China a tiny step?
I think it is not. It's a giant step especially considering China's per capita CO2 is less than a quarter of that of US.

Until US per capita CO2 comes down to the same level as China, China actually does not need to do anything. China is doing a huge favor even by taking such "tiny" steps! Hard to talk to selfish retard such as Kent Garber.

When I read this story I was appalled by the idea this story is posing. Yes China is promising cutting its intensity by 40-50% and it may actually increase absolute total emission. So what? if this is a bad idea then wouldn't US do the same? No US won't do the same. With per capital CO2 pollution of 20 tons a year, which is 6 times of the amount of China, what righteousness do you have to blame China? For how many years have US been the #1 air polluter and how many years for China? Did you complain about US at all before? Should China keep the absolute total CO2 level down? Bring US and China to the same per capital level first before you open your mouth!!!! Unless you really think the Chinese people doesn't deserve it.
