Your determination, your strategy, and your will to do the right thing by ALL people was heard and the people have spoken. I am proud to be a part of this great historical event and blessed to have a 91 year-old grandmother who lived to witness it as well.

Yes! Long Live America...
This elction has changed my view of America as a free and fair country. As a matter of fact, lots of Europeans and those of us resident in Europe looked on America as a place you can only visit, but never choose to live. We wonder at the sanity of the several people who flock annually to live there.
This election has renewed by belief in the American people to do the right thing. Somehow, I always knew they could, but they never did. BUT THIS!!! This is classic. America has won the respect of the whole world. It took the strong will and resolve of a new generation to put America back on the world map. We hail you.
Barack Obama! Half white, half black. But the white in him doesnt matter. In fact, the black in him is so strong it nullifies the 50 per cent of white he still has!!! Or why else will he be referred to as "black" by people who have eyes? Rejected by his mother's colour-people, embraced by the blacks who dont throw children in the bin, but are very proud to have him. Today, we rejoice with him.
One thing is clear, governments around the world better start listening, AND start doing the right thing by their citizens. America has sent a clear chilling message to ALL LEADERS, (black, white, or yellow), the world and this generation will no longer wait for mediocres to rule us. We deserve and demand action. And we will get it.
This election has change the way politics is done, forever. This election has thought us lessons we must learn. This election will mean, history WILL repeat itself the whole world over, as far as choosing country leaders is concerned. Those who want to rig elections can try, but voter will and power, turning out in millions to vote in the rain and the sun, hungry and tired, will prove our one voice...
I can pack my bags now. America, here she comes!!!
Long live USA. I hail you Americans...

I cried I was so overwhelmed. I thought about my grandfather, a farmer, who died twenty years ago. Not in his wildest imagination could he imagine that these United States would ever elect a black man as President. I feel more optimistic and encouranged than I ever have, even in the wake of the economic devastation we are experiencings, I feel a sense of strong hope. I am elated, my family is elated, we are on cloud nine. Makes it well worth the 5 hours I waited in line to vote.
