Poor Susan, still clinging to lies and drummed up delusions...

I believe in God too, but I don't believe in slandering

John McCain, just because I also like O'Bama.

Republicans don't hold the patent to God.

Furthermore, God is not coming back to take sides,

he is coming to take over!

Rethink your ethics.

The disheartening thing about all of this is that the democrats and republicans for years have been more interested in party politics than the american people. Otherwise, we wouldn't be having a discussion about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the next great depression because our political leadership would have never let this happen.

While Obama is a great orator, he is a man trapped by his party and financial supporters. I'm afraid that the reason he can't say anything of substance is that he really does have to consult with a 100 advisors first. A likely reason that he didn't want to go to Washingtion is that he needed the extra time to get his political "script" down for the debate. Let's face it, he really doesn't have any real foreign policy experience to fall back on and his job as as community organizer, even with a Harvard education, are truly not a good substitute for experience.

Please don't stop reading here if you are an Obama supporter.

While McCain does have a difficult time connecting with the american public because of his age, there is a lot to be said for his life experiences both in the military and in politics. The wisdom that this lifelong experience brings to his candidacy are paramount in these uncertain and dangerous times. I think about how different my views are today from when I was younger and realize how naive and idealistic I was back then. We must choose a person to lead our nation who has more than the charisma of a preacher on a pulpit and John McCain has the life knowledge and experience that Barrack Obama is missing.

I am glad Mccain cancelled his campaign to put his full attention to the financial crisis,Obama would have done the same but he doesnt have the expereince and doesnt want to be seen as following Mccain. If he goes on with the debate he will look even dumber than he is.I think Mccain should send Palin that would be a great debate.

mccain's "we have a mental recession you nation of whiners" phil graham chaired the senate banking committee and co-wrote financial deregulation rules dismantling glass-stegall act more than a decade ago. get your facts straight. enough revisionist history already.

had anyone realized that the provisions added to the 700 billion dollar bailout was obama's first then adoptrd by mccain or that the idea of a joint statement was obama's then adopted my mccain or better yet mccain has missed the most votes in the senate yes its true more than obama however mccain has managed to vote against raising the minimum wage 7 times ..do you really think he is concerned about the little people mccain is more concerned about big business

This was obviously a campaign stunt meant to take the spotlight off his lack of economic experience. How quickly we forget his quote on the economic principles of America being strong. This guy has proved to be reactive and not proactive on economic issues since he started public service.

The game is over for McCain and his VP candidate that they are hiding from all of us. The ball is rolling the other way and there is nothing he can do to change that. This was a last ditch effort that is making him look worse.

I know many registered republicans that have started to switch to Obama due to McCain's changing his mind on major issues. The best part about it is he is moving toward more liberal economic principles.

Game over...can we vote already

steve of GA 2:37PM September 25, 2008

Why are Chris Dodd and Barney Frank engineering this bailout when they were the architects of this failure in the first place?

A debate is just a media event- it can be rescheduled.

The oversight of this economic agreement is far more important.

And McCain is the man to watch the chicken coop which is in hands of the Democrats.

WHO SHOULD OVERSEE THE FIX?

Too many have fed at the trough. What Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac executives did was illegal.

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/09/fanny-mae-freddie-mac-congressional.html

Still no time to panic, but some executives and some in Congress should see jail time.

PacificGatePost of WA 2:26PM September 25, 2008

McCain presentents in DC must have had some effect because about 12:50 CT it was announced over the the radio news that an agreement had been reached. Who knows if McCain had not been in DC no agreement would have been made. It would have worked out better for Obama if the agreement would have taken longer and the finnancial markets were left in uncertainty.

I am so ANGRY!!!

How is it that with the hundreds and thousands of federal leaders on the taxpayer's payroll in Washington DC that two men cannot be spared for 48 hours for us, the taxpayers, to debate??!

"Are the leaders in Washington so incompetent that its all going to go to pieces if these two men can't show up like right now???!"

Answer: Why do you think we are in this condition now. Who was it forced these financial institutions to make all these loans that was not sound? Members of CONGRESS!! Now they are trying to cover their a**.

MY GOD!!! Even third world countries have better control and stability that this!!!!

How is it that the United States of America is suddenly a

"developing nation"??!!!!!!)

There should be an independent prosecute to investigate this mess. With power to go back as far as it takes to find out where the pressure came in. Who put the pressure on should be exposed and I think there would a lot fewer incumbents in the next election!
