Palin did not bring me to vote for her or McCain. After I learned that Palin order wolves to be shot from low lying airplanes (just for being a wolf and eating to survive rather than for trophy) so that she and other would have more caribou, moose and other wildlife to eat (when there was not a shortage on wildlife) brought me to Obama's camp. Then, Palin went after the Grizzly for being itself, because the grizzly was eating salmon and they wanted all the salmon for themselves and money making ventures. Those, too, are being shot to death from low lying planes, even the cubs.
The Grizzly may have been the canary in the mine because they can only survive in a clean environment. But, it appears that the mining of coal, gold, and copper may be poisoning the fisheries with methyl mercury, arsenic, sulfuric acid, sodium cyanide and other poisons, which are causing the salmon to be less able to reproduce. Get rid of the salmon eating bear, and that puts humans in their place as being the immediate top of the food chain, instead of the ultimate top.
The mining of coal is partially for the gold and copper mines, which are creating toxic coal-fired power plants at each mine. That means more mercury (which damages the brain of the developing fetus), more arsenic (which causes peripheral vascular disease –heart disease—based on studies out of India, China, Indonesia and other countries and all from the burning of coal). Coal also releases at lot of bone cancer contributing radionuclides. In fact, according to an article from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory: "Americans living near coal-fired power plants are exposed to high radiation doses than those living near nuclear power plants that meet government regulations."
Of course, neither coal nor nuclear have protective regulations since the Bush Administration de-regulated everything.
But, drilling for oil can also be toxic. The production waters while once regulated as non-hazardous oil field wastes are extremely toxic and contain the amounts of heavy metals and radionuclides that in any other industry would be considered hazardous. Add the that the cancer and other damaging hydrocarbons. But, the fossil fuel industry has done a good job brain washing Palin alike the U.S. Congress and the Petro-presidency. We could have clean energy, but instead will have more of the same.
But, I won't vote for more of the same. I'm a woman who cares about the future of my “child” and her family, and was there for her when she was growing up. Perhaps, Palin needs to spend more time with and guiding her family. Or, perhaps not. We wouldn't want them to grow up to be like her, an narrow minded woman who follows the dirty fuels and will ultimately poison the last clean source of fish and wildlife in the world.
I support Obama and Biden.

Some of these comments remind me Edwin Stanton's comments about Lincoln. Stanton became Lincoln's Secretary of War. Before the war, when Lincoln, a very experienced lawyer, wanted to participate in a lawsuit regarding the Illinois company, McCormick (later founded the Chicago Tribune), Stanton said he did not want that "long-arm monkey". During the war, he frequently wrote of Lincoln as an imbecile. So, the uneducated Lincoln, who learned logic from reading Euclid's Elements, and writing and speaking from Shakespeare and the Bible, is considered a great president. Who would have thought that Chester A. Arthur would have turned out so well. Palin may not have the courtesy Yale degrees the partying Gore and Kerry got but still might turn out to be just fine.

How did Dems attack Palin's children. We weren't the ones who knocked little Bristol up. Palin should have known her 17 year old was pregant when Palin accepted the nomination.
I guess her mother should have talked to her about birth control and taught her about the real Big Bang headed her way.

-Palin is a dummy. She has no education and she proves it every day. Biden has given countless press conferences since his nomination, Palin is sheltered.
She's a clown- plain and simple. McCain did not take his decision seriously.
I believe the Republican based wanted to be "energized". They would have been excited is McCain picked Daffy Duck. Palin is under-educated and cannot contribute to fixing what ails the country. She is just eye candy for McCain and will never be taken seriously. Mccain could have found a better woman.
Nobody's scared of Palin. I am gettired of hearing her deliver the same speech ov and over again though. That's scary.

First, Joyce. It's fool not full. And no American women are not easily FOOLED by political games and we are all educated enough to see a ploy when we see one. Ms. Palin's cosmetic are nice and professional but she is also the real deal and has the track record and experience and initiate to go out and stump for middle America who is truely at the heart of our slow economy. Those of us who fought and died so you could come here and have freedom of religion and speech and a better way of life. She has a better grip on the "real world" than do the Obamas.

Possibly charged rape kits to victims, does not believe in evolution, religion is questionable, encourages shooting bears and wolves from lowing flying planes, troopergate, no abortions for rape or incest, supported the bridge to no where before she opposed it. Has a pregnant teenager, her only experiences with Foreign Relations is the fact she can see Russia from AL, Questioned a librarian about book banning and later the librarian was fired. Does not believe in Global Warming, and left her city in debt as Mayor.
If you think she is a good candidate you deserve what you get.

Sarah Palin has been the most divisive thing to happen to our state since its start 50 years ago. She doesn't think anything through. She is now "unavailable" to Alaskans as well as the nation. How many times have you actually seen her talking unscripted to anyone since her nomination?

I'm certainly no regular US News and World report reader, but do you often cite Lifetime Polls?
I think at the very least methodology MUST be covered and if links are included it should include one to the poll itself.
