THE REASON FOR ALL THE GREED AND CORRUPTION ON WALL STREET AND IN WASHINGTON IS A LACK OF CONSCIENCE. MONEY AND POWER CORRUPT ABSOLUTELY, THEREFORE WE NEED TO PRAY FOR THOSE MAKING THE IMPORTANT DECISIONS. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THE LORD'S WILL BE DONE!!!

HERE IS A QUICK 10 MIN VIDEO THAT IS FACTUAL AND VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT HOW WE GOT IN THIS MESS. IF WE UNDERSTAND THE CAUSE WE WILL UNDERSTAND WHICH MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ARE REALLY ACTING IN OUR BEST INTEREST WITH THIS VOTE..... PLEASE WATCH THIS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5tZc8oH--o

Sorry folks but we are all to blame by continuing to elect the bozos who spent our grandchildrens' money by running a giant deficit spending program and unfavorable balance of payments on the world market. By pretending that the federal government does not have to pay back all the money that was borrowed and the dollar would stay sound anyway. That the dollars we printed and shipped overseas would not be used to buy American companies. That we could spend more on failing schools and that would not result in a populace that can no longer compete on the global market.

Wise up and vote many of the entrenched Senators and Representatives out...both Republican and Democrat alike. Only fear of loss of cushy jobs can get Congress to really address the actual problems with real tough solutions.

Look in the mirror and tell yourself that all of us must do some very unpleasant things over a long period of time to fix the current mess which has been growing worse for over 50 years. Both Congress and all of us share the blame for failing to pay as we go.

I had an annuity in AIG for a long time. Two years ago I read something in the paper that scared me so I sold it. AIG tried to talk me out of it, but I told them I was a widow & needed the money to live on. They sent the check. If a nobody like me thought something was wrong that long ago, why didn't the govt. see it?

If a voter is thoughtful and will look into the history of this mess, they will necessarily find themselves supporting the Republican ticket. This could not have happened without Fannie Mae buying up subprime mortgages and holding them in their own portfolio. Banks and Wall Street originated these loans because FNMA was buying them with taxpayer subsidizing the risk. George Bush was out in front on this issue calling for regulation of FNMA in 2003. In 2005, Alan Greenspan told Congress that failure to fix FNMA would result in "placing the total financial system of the future at substantial risk" Senate Bill S.190 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d109:s190:)was drafted to heed Mr. Greenspan's call. John McCain was a cosponsor and forceful advocate (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?r109:1:./temp/~r1090ZWtOi::). All of the Republicans on the committee voted for it, all the Democrats voted against it. Barack Obama was present. Yes, this whole mess could have been avoided if the Congress had followed John McCain's call to action
