What are you talking about? The fact that Obama didn't go into the military is an automatic negative? What percent of the post-draft population has served? 5%? 10%? Does that disqualify the other 90% - 95% from ever holding elected office? (Yes, I served 4 years in the USAF.) Obama became a community activist to help the under-represented and find work for those who lost their jobs. We all know Governor Palin doesn't think this amounts to anything so I guess you're on board with that.

What John McCain admits to God is between him and God, because no one else knows whether he is sincere - or if sincerity even makes a difference. Why don't you find the video of Jimmy Swaggert crying like a baby when his sin was uncovered. Please. McCain can say he made a mistake and everything is okay as far as your concerned. Let me guess, you proudly voted for Dubya in 2000 AND 2004. Care to admit anything? Time to get a clue, JP.

While I understand what Senator McCain's fellow veterans feel for him it would be more than a leap to go from a judgment of his character to say that he would be the best choice for president. Character is only one of a number of things to consider. I think our current president has a good deal of character, but if someone wants to fight for things I don't believe in and against the things I do believe in, their character merely translates into having respect for an opponent. We can all admire the senator for what he went through and for his public service since, but his lack of ideas, disconnection from ordinary people, and impulsive decision making are not what I'm looking for in a candidate. We need someone with a vision for the future of our country - not someone living in the past, who may or may not feel entitled to the highest position in the land. This country has created plenty of heros - many of whom never made it home. The truest heros are those that gave of themselves and asked nothing in return. I would have more respect for Senator McCain if it were only others who touted what he went through, but his (or his campaign) making it a cornerstone of his political candidacy cheapens the experience, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm so tired of the endless barrage of McCain POW stories. Appreciate his service, but this is really overkill. Everybody knows he was a POW so why does McCain (along with the media) keep focusing on the "bio"? Voters need to know what the candidates will do for them NOW, rather than be subjected to all these re-hashes of what John McCain went through 30+ years ago. I don't owe him my vote just because he he trots out this story over and over again. I don't want my country to fall apart because I fell for a sad story. No disrespect, but can we focus on the PRESENT and the FUTURE? McCain's obsession with his POW experience just proves to me he is NOT the leader we need right now.

People in the nation are waking up to the fact that Barack H. Obama is not who he says he is.George Stephanopolous let him slide on a glaring lie on Sundays broadcast.Interest is mounting concerning his rationale for Not enlisting in Any branch of the Service during Peacetime.Medic?Chaplain?Recruiter?ZILTCH!One of his heroes,Jack Kennedy ,issued a challenge to a generation for selfless contribution .Hiding behind the ubiquitous job description of Community Organiser is not going to cut it.That title, like "Reverend", can be used legitimatly for good ,or be twisted such as The Black Panthers "Free Breakfast" for children in Oakland & Chicago.Even Eldridge Clever later acknowledged that the ties led all the way back to the Soviet Union -seeking any means to foment class struggle in U.S. cities.

A fellow McCain POW (held captive longer than McCain) who has known McCain since the academy did a well done thoughtful video in which he states McCain is not cut out to be president.

Amazing comments:

McCain is greater because he served his country (not sure how he would have avoided that path with dad and grandpa being Admirals)

War Hero - only one ... THAT CHAPTER IS COMING TO A CLOSE ... he says we got them all out and he was tortured the most anyway.

Obama did drugs and because he's black he may have done LSD and not be right in his head ... good thinking, what college did you graduate from by the way ... just so I don't waste my money there.

On Sarah and the babies - YEAH we applaud you for encouraging her to keep it, but our point is you push ABSTINANCE EDUCATION ... and in case you didn't notice, it didn't work!!! Don't say it's a private family matter if you are going to advocate laws that impact my private family!

As for her education - we can only hope that our own children will get a bachelor's degree in 6 years of college - her parents were probably overjoyed that she got the degree if you know what I mean, I'm sure they paid for all that "finding yourself" schoolhopping ... but don't compare it to working mom's or young people with kids going to college who take longer than 4 years - that's apples to oranges, and we're smarter than that... I think she was just a young person without her act together ... not a big deal, but worth noting because she's applying for a pretty big job and we want to see the resume. I think it's funny how we pick a president. As people have pointed out, a president doesn't even have to have a degree - that's interesting because I do believe if someone like Justin Timberlake or Brad Pitt ran, they might actually get a lot of votes .... so we may want to focus on some other requirements for this office in this celebrity age. A teacher has to have a stronger resume to get a job than a president does. WHEW - thank goodness for that! Because I wouldn't want to work with half the people I see in office. And for the record, if it took me 6 years to get my degree, I'd be asked why in my interviews. I have to offer up a sealed set of transcripts too. Hey McCain and Obama - can I see yours?

There is NO honor in ADULTERY. Women will need to stand up for more than choice/life rights.

STAND UP AND SAY A MAN OR WOMAN IS NOT FIT TO REPRESENT ME IF HE CAN NOT RESPECT HIS/HER VOWS OF MARRIAGE!

John McCain will never have my vote on anything and neither will John Edwards. I am a Christian and it matters to me.

So don't give John and Sarah all the attention - there is certainly enough wagon for her to get her five minutes of "I'm so great, I care about my country, I'm a great mother/father, I love children too" fame!

Here we go:

Show the Wonderful Cindy some love - she became a special education school teacher, chased a MARRIED JOHN MCCAIN who was 17 years her senior around at a party. She may not have known his age, but Cindy's dad, a war vet certainly had to know hearing all the news of this war hero on TV. He gave them his blessing as they carried on a public "High Society" affair committing adultery against the overweight crippled former Mrs. McCain at home with the McCain kids. No love loss for their respect and reputation I guess - they weren't from the circles anyway. Then it became needed after the 9 month affair to leave the Mrs McCain so they could marry. December 1979 he broke the news - filed papers in February, divorce granted in March or April and the GRAND WEDDING took place in May of 1980. WOW - can't do that in Virginia! Cindy is good! Then, the lovely first wife even gave her blessing saying she didn't blame John for leaving her - after all he was so handsome and she was certainly not the pretty woman he left when he went to war. Someone get her some therapy! Cindy went on to leave teaching (a great loss to my profession) and start a nonprofit organization bringing doctors and medicine to other countries. She went on to sample 10 to 15 of the pills a day to make sure she was at her best (she told friends) as a wife and mother for John so he wouldn't leave her. An employee of the organization whistled on her and she ran for help from Mom and Dad. Rehab, Some "I'm here to tell my story so others who are addicted won't make the same mistakes after their back surgery" interviews ... and voila, we now have Cindy the hero ... who can't shake your hand... delicate bone genes. Don't worry, Sarah wrestles moose and she can arm wrestle you if you want. McCain will sing Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran ... use a cue card to quote the price of a gallon of milk, smile when you say the word viagra, and Sarah will wear her skirt and Sing Annie Get Your Gun ... in between checking on the babies that may or may not belong to her ... see daughter's top half for more info on that. Note to Dad - hold the baby more. Cindy is going to spend her time preparing for the Miss Buffalo Chip Contest that John suggested she enter and figure out if she support Roe or V or Wade.

Could the Republicans be making progress for women! OH YEAH ... this is a sledghammer in the glass ceiling - we're all sitting under it!
