If any Reagan democrats vote for Obama it won't be because he won them over,it will be because they do not want to vote for Mcain and are fed up with republicans.

Obama has not only NEVER said anything in ANY speech that would help the economy, every Marzist idea he has propounded would accomplish the exact opposite. If you think Wall Street in in the tank now, just wait and see what happens if Obama is elected and starts trying to push all of his tax programs!
Regan Democrats are smart enough to have already figured out that Obama's ideas (if they are his at all) are nowhere near those of Regan when it comes to economics -- in fact, comparing his to Regan in any way is insulting.

For Reagan Democrats, protecting Social Security benefits may be of greater concern than perpetuating myths about which party is stronger on national security. Many of these voters have already seen their jobs and life savings erode. Can they afford to elect a candidate who thinks "Social Security is a disgrace" and who has questioned the program's fundamental principles?

Obama will not be able to get the Reagan democrats to vote for him. He is far too liberal. In fact he is considered to be the most liberal person in the Senate. He even beats Ted Kennedy on that front.
